Plan to do a Wishes cruise from Contemporary that we have to be at by 9pm. If we want to have dinner at 'Ohana before that, will 6:30pm give us enough time?

I would think so. You should be seated by 7 at the latest, and Ive never took more than 1 hour for dinner there. Of course we have a little one, so we dont really know what a leisurely meal is right now :lmao: but even if it takes you until 8:30 to eat, i would think 30 minutes is enough time to get from the Poly to the Contemporary. If you dont want to feel rushed though in case you dont get seated at your designated time, try for a 6Pm ressie instead.

I disagree, dinner at Ohana's takes longer than you expect. I would say that at 6:30 you may stress a bit about making the cruise. Typically the dinner at Ohana's is about 1.5-2 hrs....depending on how much you eat, servers, etc. Typically, plan on waiting 15-20 minutes to get seated at a minimum, then it takes another 10-20 or so for drinks and apps to come out....they come out in spurts, so you won't start your main courses about 30 minutes in....depending on how quickly you get the meats you want, if you want second or thirds, you are sitting a bit because they aren't making to order, you are just waiting for the right skewer to come by. Than, you have to end that portion, have dessert (again 10-15 minutes to get it to the table) and your outprocessing/paying, etc. Add to this any travel times and I would say to have a stress free dinner shoot for 6 ish (if you can) and enjoy your meal.

I think 6 might work better...just to be on the safe side.

Great, thanks. Having never been to Ohana but know how the food is served, I worried about this very thing. I think I will shoot for 6 instead...we are not really on a time crunch but I HATE having so much time to kill that we just wander around aimlessly after dinner with nothing to do. I am trying to impress first timers and in laws!! UGH!!

As far as leaving from Poly, that might be a possibility but don't know if that will be possible so I am covering my bases.

Yes, the boat can pick you up at the Poly marina, that will make life easier. If you've already booked just call them back and let them know that's where you'd like to be picked up.
