'Ohana review

I'm really sad about the pineapple, caramel and especially the SHRIMP and wontons. But, I still am excited to try the new things. Hopefully we won't be dissapointed. I'm trying to keep an open mind. The new bread pudding dessert sounds fabulous.

its so sad that Ohana is getting bad reviews. I hope whatever went wrong people are voiceing thier opinions there, this way they know whats wrong and could fix it.

I definitely will if it turns out we are disappointed. I'm going to try to give it a fair shot though.

I really think you need to be a big meat and potatoes type of eater to like Ohana. My wife and I are not big meat eaters. In addition, when we do eat meat, we don't like it dry and well done. That was the biggest problem-all the meat was overcooked and dry. I also thought the service was not too good. We were there at a time that was not busy, and we had to wait a long time for water after asking for it, and the salad came out after potatoes and vegetables. Plus the shrimp was mushy and swimming in liquid, the potatoes were greasy but bland, and the veggies were nothing great. All in all, our worst meal of the week (but the kids liked the mac and cheese).

WELL....... We had a ADR for June 21st. After reading this I'm changing that. Evrything we have enjoyed eating there is gone. I must say we are NOT HAPPY! :furious: Why would you ruin something so great that people loved. The old saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it"!

Wow....I mentioned my less than happy time with the new 'Ohana menu, and I felt like I was the only one.

So, it isn't just my DH and I who are disappointed with the changes in 'Ohana.

I really miss the fresh pineapple and caramel sauce. :guilty:

In all reality for those of you who are not happy with the changes to the menu, you really need to write to Disney Guest Relations and let them know. Posting your displeasure with the menu here does no one any good. :confused3

I do not agree with this post. Posting here about poor experiences does help. From reports from others I know we will not be back because our favorite parts of the menu are now gone.

I agree though with writing Disney. They have taken away and then made other changes due to enough guest responses.

We were there on Friday night and it was awesome! :thumbsup2 I thought everything tasted great...especially the potatoes, the shrimp and the wings. The kids LOVED the activities, my DH even got up and did the coconut race. And the bread pudding was incredible. We had a beautiful view of the castle and loved watching it change colors. It was our favorite meal of our trip, and we were with two other families and they felt the same way.

I'm not discounting anyone's feelings or reviews, I just had a different experience, I guess. :)
