Ohana Question

For those who have eaten at Ohana's...we have a 4yr old who is allergic to Peanuts. Is the Peanut sauce put on the food or will there be things he can eat with out worry about a reaction? I am contacting the Dietary requests people...just trying to get some ressies done in the mean time.

My 4 yr. old son is also allergic to peanuts. We have eaten at Ohana's for both breakfast and dinner. I always let the chef and server know our situation. They were helpful. I felt comfortable with the eggs and meats (and juice) at breakfast and the chef at the dinner was great and made sure the meats and veggies were ok for him. We have never had any issues at Disney, they seem to be quite used to dietary restrictions and are usually very helpful.

They will bring you out something that doesn't have peanuts. My kids fortunately have no allergies, but tend to be picky, so when we ate there they brought out a large plate of chicken fingers and fries. I believe you need tell the chef and they have you fill out a form with the allergies. Then they go over what they have for you.

They can easily serve safe food and won't serve peanut sauce at your table. Personally though if he has life threatening reactions to traces I would avoid it because with peanut sauce being served constantly there could be traces on the tables, etc. I'm not highly allergic to peanuts and I've been fine.

My daughter has a severe nut allergy, and we eat at O'Hana every trip.

We always tell the server, and the chef comes to our table and carefully explains what she can have. They also will prepare a special desert just for her.

O'Hana is our favorite restaurant for both breakfast and dinner, and they are very accommodating of her allergies.
