'Ohana or Kona? Whose food is better for dinner?

I already have a PS at 'Ohana, but may change it if I get enough responses to this thread/poll. Thanks in advance.

I love both, for 2 differenet experiences. So I wont be much help and Ill vote for both. But really, I dont think you can go wrong with either. They are 2 of our favorites and weve never had a bad meal at either.

Ohana if you have a healthy appetite! If you go away hungry it's your own fault. The appetizers, salad, rice not to mention all that meat they bring around. We adore it, it's a must for each visit. Last trip it was DH's birthday. We got to our table, he began to eat, started feeling queasy. Think it was changing hotels for the last part of our trip and the rush to get ready for the MNSSHP. Anyway he wound up going back to the room before the server brought his surprise birthday cupcake and the grilled pineapple with caramel sauce. When she discovered tha the had left she insisted on wrapping everything up for him to enjoy in the room. That's what makes Ohana the family place it is for us. Will probably make PS for both Feb and April visits!

Lost my post!!

We stayed at the Poly, so that helped me experience both of these!!

We had PS for Ohana, and the view is wonderful!! With the food, I loved the bread, and the appetizer - unlimited refills!! For the grilled food, I skipped the boring chicken and pork, kept making him bring me shrimp and steak baby!! yummmmmmmm!! (dh made a valiant effort to clean his plate - I tried to tell them skip the chicken and pork...)

For Kona, its situated closer to the monorail side of the Poly, and the view you have is the 2nd floor of the poly, and people wandering around... now we were staying there, and dd wanted PB&J, so dh stayed in the room, I wandered over and placed an order to go, I believe it was a teriyaki steak, while it was being prepared I crossed over to the store and bought a wine for app $10, and they uncorked it for me! Took our food back to our room, and boy did we have a afeast!!

So for the view, the entertainment, and the unlimited food, Ohana's was not to be missed!!

Ohana's food is fine, but I liked the atmosphere at Kona Cafe a bit more so I voted for it.

We loved Ohana. We scheduled a breakfast, loved it so much we went back for dinner. The food is great. We asked for a window seat so we could see the MK. We tried to time it right to see the fireworks but were a little off. We watched from the lobby windows, great view. We also saw the water parade go by. We would recommend it in a heart beat. We are planning on taking our friends there next time we go. It the food is unlimited and I think it included our soda. I think it was $24.99 per adult.

We; DW, DH, DD, and DS, went to Kona Cafe on December 23rd. Called at 4:00 pm for a PS, got one at 7:15. We were running early, so we thought we would go to the Poly, see if we could get seated and check out the hotel if we couldn't. Got a seat right away. We shared pot stickers app. loved them. Surprisinly for my family we all ordered the same thing. We must have been in the mood for beef. We all ordered the Prime Rib, DD and DW split one. The meat was wonderful as was the mashed potatoes and the vegetables. We then split 2 desserts, our favorite being the banana creme brulee. We felt we had a excellent meal, good quality food prepared superbly for a great value. We were able to take our time, service was attentive, yet not annoying, atmosphere was comfortable. We like comfortable compared to stuffy or wild. Afterward we took a tour of the hotels that the monorail goes to and went to MK for Wishes. It was easier to get out of MK via the poly parking lot!!
