One of our favorite things to do while we are in WDW is to visit the Polynesian resort. It is out of our price range to stay there, but we always make a point visit (and dream of staying there some day) and to eat there. We have eaten at the Kona Café for dinner twice. Both times, the service was fantastic and the food was great! We have never eaten at Ohana’s. How does the service and food in Ohana’s compare to the Kona Café?

I'd say the service is great at both. Very friendly, fun, attentive service. I would suggest you try O'Hanas since you've already been to Kona's. I usually try to schedule our dinner around the fireworks, and you get a real nice dinner show. O'Hanas is also very fun and lively, a good atmosphere.

I love both and always have a hard time deciding. You could also decide on which you are in the mood for: All you can eat, or, Leftovers to take back to your room. Good Luck!

Another vote for Ohanas, since you have already been to Kona.
Lots of food:) All You can eat. Appetizers, salads, veggies are served in a lazy suzan family style. Meats,Shrimp are open flame grilled and served from a skewer tableside.:) Fresh pineapple with caramel for dessert. Or you can purchase other dessert items. Here is a link from WDWIG Ohanas

I have been to both ... and it is nice to try a new place ... but the food at O'hana is not nearly as good as what I had at Kona Cafe. The experience at O'hana is well worth it though ... I just didn't want you to ecpect the same quality of food.

My family enjoyed the food served at O'hana, I just think Kona's selections are more "upscale":D
