Ohana or Chef Mickey Breakfast?

I've been to Chef Mickey's a couple times for breakfast. I enjoyed it. The food was great and the kids (and I) had a ball with the characters. I couldn't get seats for CM this trip but I have ressies at the 'OHana character breakfast. We go in 2 weeks. I am so excited! Thanks for all the great reviews.

We're doing both of these for the first during our upcoming May trip so I don't have an opinion yet!!! We've done dinner at both places too many times to count but never breakfast so we are really looking forward to them.

Ohana is our favorite. The fact that it is NOT a buffet is a huge plus for us. The food was great and the characters were so much fun. The characters at CMs were so rushed.

We love to do breakfast at CM on our last day, it's a tradition for us. I like the "classic " characters, it's a really fun atmosphere, and we prefer buffet to family style. That being said we love Ohana for dinner, so I'm sure breakfast would be great there too. I don't think you can go wrong with either!!

We've had breakfast at both and Ohana's was by far a more enjoyable meal. The food was great, the characters were fantastic, we much preferred it to Chef Mickeys. So my vote is for Ohana's

'Ohana is our favorite character breakfast. We enjoy the food, love the atmosphere and find the character interaction to be fantastic!

Wow, reading all these replies is very helpful. We've only been to CM and Park Fare and might try a non-buffet style this time around. You do have a point about being nervous about missing characters when you get up to get your food....

I prefer 'Ohana. I love the juice there and I'm also a fan of plated character meals. I find them more relaxing (I don't worry about missing a character while I'm at the buffet).

I agree with this. Ohana had good food and less hectic because there is no running to the buffett line. We loved it. Since you haven't been there, try Ohana.

I was at Chef Mickey's years ago (87 or 94, I forget which) and loved it.

We went to 'Ohaha for breakfast in 2006 and were very disappointed. I think the problem was that we had the latest possible ADR time for breakfast and the food was all getting cold. We do love dinner at 'Ohaha, though.

My memory is failing. Maybe it was family style instead of a buffet. In either case, I think we suffered from being the last ADR for the morning.

And Stitch was the only character there that day. Lilo was "somewhere else".

We were at CM at few weeks ago and we will go back for the characters NOT the food. The breakfast at CM was definately the worst breakfast we had the whole trip. I would try Ohana's, we haven't been but nothing can be as bad a CM We want to try Ohana's for supper on our next trip

Another vote for Ohana's. If you asked me a couple of years ago, I would have said CM, hands down. It used to be my all-time favorite, but not now. The food and the character interaction have gone south. I don't even book it anymore. I really do hope CM gets better, because I am all about the character meal experience!
