I have ADR's for both on Easter Sunday--ugh. Not sure which to use. As of now MK closes at 9:00 pm, it may go later. Ressie at Ohanas is for 9:50..kind of late but there are no young kids.

Boma is a reasonable time of 6:30. We do not really have any other nights during this stay to move one or the other. We have been to Ohanas once about 14 yrs ago when my youngest now 20 was 6. We have never been to Boma.

Any thoughts?

They are so different, but good in their own ways. For me, it would depend on what you want to do for the rest of the evening. Were you planning on staying at MK as long as possible or are you ok with leaving early, heading over to AKL? In terms of food, I would go with Boma. Plus, I couldn't eat dinner at 9:50 pm.

Yes...that late dinner doesn't sit well with me but that is all there was available. I would much prefer an earlier dinner. I will keep checking back for openings.

We much prefer the food at Boma. I also couldn't eat a huge meal that late.

Both would be a fantastic choice, but after recently experiencing Boma for the first time I would suggest giving that a try. So many fantastic choices and the butternut squash soup is the best I've ever had!

Boma is awesome! Great atmosphere and a huge selection of delicious hot and cold foods, and Zebra Domes for dessert! These alone are worth going to Boma for!

I love both places, but we did Ohana really late this summer and it was kinda tough. Boma is great and provides a large variety that is worth trying. Boma at 6:30 sounds better, get ready for some zebra domes!!!

Both restaurants have excellent food, but we tried to do O'Hana well after 9:00 last trip and we were too tired to enjoy it after a full day's touring. We tried Boma last trip after being bumped up to a deluxe resort(AKL)and smelling the wonderful aromas coming into the lobby from the restaurant. We were not disappointed.

Totally different. Many things to consider. We have not been to Ohana in several years, but we enjoyed Boma much more when we went to both. (Personally I will take JIKO over both, but that's not what you asked) If you want to stay at MK till near closing, I would keep Ohanas, its just easier. Going to Boma and then back to MK for closing is doable, but you waste a LOT of time on the bus. If you don't care about closing MK, then Boma is a great option. And you can enjoy the Savanna at night, its still fun with the night vision goggles.

Boma food is better hands down, but there is something to be said for the ambiance of the Poly and drinks served in pineapples. If you can find an earlier time I would say go with what works best in your plans, otherwise definitely Boma.
