I have reservations at O'hana and 1900 Park Fare for dinner on our arrival night (I scored both of them today! And I will be cancelling one as soon as I figure out which one to keep :)). Thoughts? We have never eaten at either? I know Park Fare has characters and O'hana doesn't at dinner, correct? It is myself, DH and DS (3 1/2). He really doesn't know the characters that will be at PF, so I am not overly concerned about that. The timing of O'hana is better for us. Just not sure what to do...thanks!

I think you are correct ...Ohana does not have charactrs at dinner.

1900 Park Fare has Cinderella, the prince and step sisters.

THe food at Ohana is probably better.....

I have been dying to get either of those for our trip, check every day. I would probably pick the characters for your first night.

My dds (8 & 11) LOVE 1900 Park Fare...so, that's my vote. The characters are GREAT! We love the stepsisters! :)

O' Hana's has games for the kids (rolling of the coconuts and hoola hoop) but not characters at dinner. and is served family style..1900 Park Fare is buffet with characters but the stepsisters are scary... my cousins daughter was 4 and screamed so bad they had to take her out...but to us adults the CM that was playing the step sister was so "good at her job":rotfl2:

I like both but I think Ohana would be a better fit for you. Timing is important, especially with a little one - too early and you have to rush to get there (or worry about travel delays); too late and, well, nothing fun about a tired, hungry, cranky 3 yr old. And nothing fun about paying for a meal that he sleeps through, either.

Ohana has good food and might be a little more relaxing for you than having to juggle buffet trays.

We have done both and PF was fun but Ohanas is my vote for sure. Food was much better. If you could get PF for another day I would do it but if I HAD to choose Ohanas comes out on top

I honestly did not like the food at 1900 PF. I was VERY disappointed. The selection wasnt very good. The theme that night at one of the stations was pretty gross. But the atmosphere and the characters were AMAZING. The step sisters are a riot.
I would recommend ohana over 1900 for sure.

Ohanas. I think the food is better at Ohanas. And i'm not a fan of buffets. I think your son will have fun with the coconut races.

'Ohana is our favorite dinner and our first night tradition...love the atmosphere and the food. That gets my vote!

'Ohana, hands down!! Your son, if he's an active 3 year old, will love the atmosphere; it's fun and entertaining and the food is delicious.

Active is an understatement. :)
Thank you all this helped! O'hana it is!

Good choice.:thumbsup2 The food at Ohana is much better and if the timing's better then it's a no brainer. I thought 1900 PF was very loud and hectic with so-so food, even though the characters were good. Enjoy.:goodvibes

I would go with Ohana. I like the food better there then I do at 1900 Park Fare, and if your ADR time works better there, it would be a non-issue for me. The only reason I'd keep Park Fare over Ohana would be if your son was interested in the characters, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
