Ohana on a Monday

A while back, there was a post by someone who said that they were at Ohanas on a Monday and there was no "entertainment", which I am assuming meant the singer/ukelele (sp??) player, and kids' fun stuff that I have read about.

We have never been to Ohana, but I have a reservation for (of course) a Monday at 5:05. We are really looking forward to trying this one for the food alone, which, to us, sounds great, but I am looking forward to seeing the kids have some fun, too.

So, can anyone confirm that there is 'entertainment' on a Monday? Anyone been there on a Monday??

Thanks in advance for any help with this one. :goodvibes

I've never heard this but I'd like to know - if it's true I'm only booking Mondays.

It's possible the post you read was by someone who happened to hit on a date when none of the entertainers were available to work.

We went last year on a Monday and had a ressie for 5:00 and didnt have the entertainment during that 1 1/2 hrs. However we went this year on Wednesday and Tuesday and there was entertainment. Who knows maybe after we left they had it.

And I would only book it on the days with entertainment :goodvibes...at least the first time...I am guessing that you didn't like it??

Tami82...I think yours was the original post I might have read?? I think since we will be going at 5:05 I was hoping that it was maybe an off night. Did your kids enjoy it anyway, or was it 'just a restaurant' on that Monday night?

Thanks.:goodvibes

Too much noise, too much chaos, and the maraca parade is just freaking loud. Maracas are great unless it's 50 kids shaking them at the same time. They could use that to drive Osama bin Laden out of his cave when they find it. Once I went to Ohana at 9:30. That's when they stop the entertainment. Was amazing how much of a better experience that was. Of course I don't have kids.

The food is pretty good too. Last time the beef was unchewable but there was so much more to eat than beef.

:rotfl: I'm with you!! It was fun the first time around, but kind of annoying the following trips....I still wouldn't miss Ohanas for the world though!! It's the only restaurant we HAVE to go to each trip.

We were there aug 23 which was a Monday and there was entertainment. Of course I have a 6yr old and he loved it!

Thank you so much for posting!! I also have a 6 year-old, and a 9 year-old, so I am so happy that there is entertainment on Mondays.

Could I ask you...What time did you go ??

We had a 610 adr. The entertainment was a lot of fun. Perfect for a 6 and 9 yr old.

This is not an entertainment question but do they still serve shrimp? We will be there for our first time in 9 days. We have always wanted to eat there.

They still have shrimp..also have beef pork and chicken. Meats were kinda dry but loved all the other food and drinks. Here's a pic of me enjoying the drinks!:woohoo:

We've been getting earlier reservations lately, since it always seemed so backed up later in the evening. Not sure if we've been on a Monday, but it seems like the entertainment doesn't start until 6:15 or 6:30 so maybe someone just missed it. If you have kids, just enjoy a slow-paced meal and they should be able to experience one of the kids' activities.

By the way, the meat has been dry sometimes in the past but it was awesome the 2 times we went this summer!

I was disappointed when I saw that there wasn't entertainment on Mondays as I have an ADR for Monday, then I noticed that it's for breakfast- my 'Ohana Dinner is on a Sunday!
