The last time we ate at 'Ohana was in 2005 and I think remember a family style dinner with chicken and ribs. As I'm not a big "meat on the bone" person, I didn't really enjoy it or think it was worth the money however I loved the atmosphere and the bread, salad and dessert. In 2009 we ate at the luau and it was a similar menu. We're going to Disney in a couple of months and my kids asked if we could go to 'Ohana because they remember having fun in a conga line and dancing (not really sure they remember, I think they remember the photos from the trip). I went on-line to check out the menu and it looks like it is totally different. I totally don't remember meat on skewers which is more to my liking. Am I remembering correctly? Did the menu change sometime since 2005? :confused3 Mahalo!

It must have because when I went in 2008, 2009 and 2010 it was meat on skewers. I liked it a lot.

I've been to 'Ohana literally every trip since they opened, which I believe was in 94, and don't remember ever having anything other than meat on skewers. I definitely don't remember ribs. That sounds more like the menu from WCC to me. They did go through some periods a few years ago where they were trying new things on the menu...they switched out the rice for potatoes for a while, and now they've settled on noodles. They replaced the shrimp won-tons with potstickers...but the meat has always been skewers.

We were there in 2005 and it was meat on skewers. (It was June if that makes a difference.) It sounds more like WCC or HDDR that had that type of food.

We ate here this past Wednesday. It was our first time there for dinner, so can't comment on whether the menu has changed or not. This was by far our favorite meal at WDW (also ate at Boma and Cape May); quality of the food and service very good. In addition to the meat on skewers you also get shrimp on skewers - all were cooked nicely and very succulent. The servers came round a few times to offer additional chunks of meat and shrimp. The salad, bread, appetizers and dessert were also excellent. The staff took the time to explain the menu, how it was going to be served and also just to interact during the course of the meal. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant, whereas we won't be doing Boma again (rushed servers, long buffet lines, little or no description of the various African dishes, mediocre food quality, just way too many people crammed into the restaurant making it a less than stellar experience, particularly for the price).
