I was so pleased when they announced Lilo n Stitch to appear at Ohanas but I have seen the photos of the food offerings on ALLEARSNET, and I just cannot justify spending $17.99 on what is served. There does not seem to be much variety at all, I saw pics of fruit, waffles, hawaiian breads and egg, sausage and bacon and potatoes. Although I would love to go for the characters I feel I would get more for my money at Chef Mickeys or Crystal Palace with things like pastries, breakfast pizzas etc included. What are your thoughts ? other Lilo N Stitch fans ?

It looks great to me. My kids love Lilo and Stitch. They'll love this one. This looks like the same breakfast they've always done at 'Ohana. I do seem to remember pinapple bread which doesn't appear the same pastry.

'Ohana never really had the variety of a buffet, but it sticks with the standard breakfast fare without a lot of risks. This is typical of the skillet-style meals (like Whispering Canyon or Liberty Tree Tavern). They choose common food that everyone in the party can eat.

I like how it is served family style rather than pre-plated like CRT...you can take what you like and ignore what you don't:)

I am right there with you. DS (9) and I don't like eggs so that really cuts down on things for us.

I agree that Ohana's selection for breakfast isn't the best. We've done several in the past, and I know that there is much better variety at Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare, CP, etc.

However, we will definitely be going to Ohana for breakfast (and dinner) on our next trip. My DS2 is a Stitch fanatic, and i know he'll flip to be that close to him! :Pinkbounc

I guess I'm willing to not have a "great" breakfast that morning....we'll just go to CP later in the week so I can see Tigger!

I booked Ohana and my favorite CP! Ohana I'm going mainly to see Stitch- my 3 yo loves him.

I agree with the OP if that is all that is served...kind of reminds me of Breakfastasaurus in the Animal Kingdom...not much to choose from.

I can understand your concern about the value, but I think with character meals you go for the atmosphere & characters rather than selection or quality of food, at least that is our thoughts on it. However, we just returned and did the Ohana character meal and it was one of the most entertaining one we have been to. The food was excellent, no complaints from us on that. The quality of time we got with the characters was priceless and well worth the money IMHO. Just as a note, we also did CRT and PSB and it was the same meal and style, and remember CRT is 1 of the hottest seats in the Kingdom and is more expensive....same situation here, food vs characters? We say go for it, you'll love it!! Hope that helps, have fun!!

even though the variety is less, i like the family style or pre-plated aycte meals because i actually get to eat hot food... when it's a buffet, i spend so much time walking the buffet line w/the chef due to ds' food allergies, then going w/ds to assure he only takes "safe" food, then going back for my own, plus stopping every three bites to take a photo w/a character, etc that i typically end up either eating really 'rushed' or cold cruddy food... so, give me nice hot family service eggs/waffles/bacon/sausage/pineapple bread/etc and i am a happy camper!

We are going to see Lilo and Stitch on 12/21! :bounce: My DD(3) and I don't care about the food...it's her "cousins" she's most concerned about seeing! :rotfl2:

OMG - Me and my DH LOVE Stich!! I don't know if I could get him to do character dining - he wouldn't get his picture with his other favorite Rafiki when we saw him so I don't know if he would be ok with eating a mediocre breakfast with Stitch.

Has anyone done this breakfast yet? Did it just start??

the breakfast has been around for ages... it's just recently that the characters changed... i believe it used to be mickey, chip, dale, and maybe goofy or pluto (?) and now it's lilo and stitch and "others?"

we enjoyed our breakfast at 'ohana back in '04 and are trying to figure out a way to fit it in again!

Hi!

We will be there for breakfast on the 14th of December - I hope the kids will enjoy Lilo and Stitch - one of their favorites! :wizard:

Can someone tell me the "other" characters that appear along with Lilo and Stitch?

Thanks!

Correct me if I'm wrong: but I think the other characters are Mickey and Pluto!!
I have this breakfast booked for the first week of January, can't wait!!

according to allearsnet.com it's lilo, stitch, goofy and mickey w/"may appear" for pluto...

We were just at this breakfast 2 weeks ago. No complaint about the food. I actually liked that it was a sit down meal and not buffet. The buffets always seem so busy with people up and down and all over the place.

We were there when the restaurant first opened that morning. Our characters included: Stitch, Mickey, Minnie and Pluto. Lilo was not there! We didn't ask if she was supposed to be there, didn't want the kids to notice. They were plenty happy to see Stitch. The character interaction was excellent!! They gave all the kids marracas (not sure how to spell that) and they paraded thru the restaurants with the characters. Great Kodak moment.

I could kick myself. I had an ADR for 'Ohana two weeks ago. We ended up not going because we were Mickey and Goofy'd out. We had seen enough of them for two weeks and decided to just cancel this last breakfast. It wasn't til I got home that I learned it was Lilo qnd Stitch there! DD had been wanting pics and autographs of them for a year! I just booked this for our next trip in December. I don't care what to costs as long as Lilo and Stitch will be there!
