Looking at doing a late breakfast at Ohana the day we leave. Around 11am my husband and I really want to try it! Our son would prefer dinner he isn't a big breakfast food fan. Would they bring thr plate of nuggets fries and Mac and cheese at a late breakfast?

doubtful as Ohana is closed at lunch time so not sure if kitchen will them ready at that time yet as they can do in evening

I don’t think so, just because they are closed for such a long gap before dinner I don’t think that food would be available in the kitchen. You can always try and ask, answer just may be no

I hate resurrecting old threads, but this one is from February and I came here to ask the exact same question so didn't figure I needed to start a new one.

Did anyone ever figure out if this is possible? I read the replies above, but I don't think the issue of there being such a big gap between Ohana's breakfast and dinner is a valid point because they don't get the things like chicken tenders or mac and cheese from their own kitchen. They get these things from Kona Cafe which is open at lunch and does serve them. I just don't know if anyone has ever asked.

We really would like to do Ohana breakfast on our next trip. My daughter would love to meet Stich, but she is extremely picky, and while she may eat a bit of eggs (really depends on how good they are) and maybe a bite of a Mickey waffle, it is hard to justify it for these things. We once paid for her to eat at Chef Mickey's and she literally ate one ear off a Mickey waffle the entire meal.

We're thinking of a late breakfast between 11:30-12pm and Kona Cafe is serving lunch during this time, so does anyone know if it's possible? She'd certainly eat some mac n cheese (and I'm prepared for it to be some of the most expensive mac n cheese I've ever paid for. It certainly won't be the first time).

Not sure if they'd do this for you, but an option is to feed her either before or after at Captain Cook's.

Yeah that's an option too, but then we are paying to feed her twice when it already costs $45 to eat at Ohana lol. Since it is family style, we have to pay even if she eats nothing. We may just end up going somewhere else, but really wanted to try their breakfast.

remember it takes time to heat the fryers and whatever they use to make mac and cheese that are not used during breakfast

Right, but we are planning to do a very late breakfast like between 11:30am-12pm. Kona Cafe is serving lunch by then.

I guess the question is - how much are you willing to spend just to meet Stitch? The food at 'Ohana breakfast just isn't very good, IMHO. If you want a better, family style meal with the option to get a cheaper meal for your DD, I would head over to Whispering Canyon - there you would have the option of ordering skillets, for those who want them or entrees, and just get your DD $10 mac and cheese, but, of course, there is no Stitch.

Whispering Canyon has been on the short list. We did it last year and enjoyed it, but I like trying different things. We are also considering Cape May breakfast (she will at least eat the chocolate chip pancakes lol).

As far as how good the food is, I have definitely heard mixed things, but I guess I just don't see how you can possibly mess breakfast up *that* bad lol. We love breakfast and we aren't too hard to please (well except for my daughter apparently lol). :)

I would have her eat before, bring an activity, maybe a Stitch coloring book or game (and most importantly no pressure to eat) and you and husband enjoy your food and she can enjoy the character visits and the shared "meal". Yes, you have to pay the entry fee. Afterword you can mobile order from Captain Cooks or Kona a side of Mac n cheese if she doesn't eat enough and she can eat and talk about happy things, not food she didn't eat. Or get a dole whip and plan to eat an earlier dinner and have her favorite granola bar or what have you. My daughter has 6 life-threatening food allergies, needs an epi-pen AND is picky (common in food allergic or sensory). There have been times she has picked at a bowl of fruit, but had two Cokes at a character Disney meal. It's not easy for me OR my husband, but I really try to let her enjoy her vacation (and mine) and the experience and then feed her any way I can, safely and sufficiently for the next adventure. Character breakfasts ARE a great way to relax and have fun, if you're willing to "eat" the entry fee and let them, (and yourself) have fun. It's hard not to revert to the things we were taught about money, behavior etc. But speaking from experience, JUST HAVE FUN! (or try) At least at Disney.

mac and cheese is on the menu but no chicken strips on the kids menu. you might get them to bring M and C because Kona is serving lunch but you will be paying Ohana prices

I was just using that as an example. She actually doesn't eat chicken strips and would want the macaroni.

For what it’s worth, Topolino was our favorite Disney breakfast. On the last trip we went to Cape May (also with a picky eater) and it was wonderful, my daughter said she liked it more than Topolinos and is her new favorite!
That said, my picky eater has always been served nuggets, fries and Mac and cheese at Ohana dinner, it was offered to her and the CMs were super kind! Not sure on timing with breakfast but I would suppose if they can help, they will! Enjoy your breakfast wherever you end up! :)

I found 'Ohana breakfast to be so salty that I couldn't eat it, so, for me, it was a complete waste of money. I agree with PP - Topolino's is our favorite character breakfast on property - the food is well-prepared.

It really wasn't very good last month. My breakfast loving daughter only ate about 5 bites and DH and I left at least half the skillet. Personally, I wouldn't ask for an off menu item, but you have to be the one to decide.

But, the character interaction really is great. If that's the draw, go for it.
