Ohana Juice

Yep, POG. Same juice is served all over the place, using different names. I believe AK (both park and Resort) call it Jungle Juice
I believe I even had some at BC in the CL lounge

We tried recreating it at home yesterday and came pretty close with 2 parts each guava and passionfruit to one part orange. The proportions don't yet seem quite right to me, but it's close!

I was listening to AJ Wolfe's podcast for the Disney Food Blog. She said that you can find it in slushy form at a cart in AK.

Someone else please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it is passion fruit, orange, and guava juice mixed together :thumbsup2

1) It is a special mix made for WDW.
2) Alas, not available at your local A&P.
3) But, there is an acceptable home-made substitute.
4) From my friends at Tusker House:
. . . Mix together equal parts:
. . . Orange Juice
. . . Guava Juice
. . . Passion Fruit Juice
5) Some folks said they added A SINGLE DASH of Tabasco or other Hot Sauce, for a tad of Zing.

I seem to recall an Ocean Spray juice blend that was really similar, but I haven't seen it in ages!
Haha, we don't even have local A&P stores any more - they have all closed. =)

V8 has two that are similar, it's called like Tropical juice or something. It's the same color, and has the pineapple and orange juice in it, maybe even the passion fruit.

In Hawaii, you can buy it premixed at the grocery store with the not-fresh squeezed juices. They call it POG, and everyone who lives there will know what you are talking about. It's really good with rum or vodka:drinking1

And Champagne. The AKL and BC club level guests are treated to a glass upon arrival. :)

You can also buy it from Amazon. It's around $30 for 24 cans.
Search POG juice.

Is it made by the Hawaiian Sun brand?! Their fruit juices are BOMB.com. There's a Hawaiian restaurant here in Nashville and they sell all the flavors :drinking1 Lord help me. The strawberry guava one....:lovestruc

You can sometimes catch six packs of Hawaiian Sun juices at world market, but the flavors vary. And I'm sure it's cheaper to just order off amazon!

We had POG at AK - Tusker House breakfast. Soo good!! The waitress even called it POG.

And, it is so easy to make.
. . . it comes as a concentrate in a plastic canister
. . . the canister is placed in a mixing machine
. . . the machine blends water and the mix (much like a soda dispenser)
. . . voilà, POG
