Ok, I cancelled a reservation and just happened to get another dinner reservation. I have 2 picky eaters. Is dinner worth it - will they like it? He's a meat and potatoes guy and likes everything plain. I want to try this restaurant but have heard it's went downhill. Have any of you been to it and what do you think?

I love 'Ohana, it's one of our must-dos. First thing you should know is that while there is plenty of meat, there are no potatoes. Here's the menu:

Salad
Potstickers
Chicken wings
Veggie lettuce cups
Steak
Pork
Shrimp
Stir fried noodles with veggies
Bread pudding

when we went in May...our server said that they were thinking of staying with the regular menu..
We had
Welcome bread,
salad,
potstickers (the best)
wings (delicious)
noodles, and polynesian veggies,
and then
Chicken,
pork,
beef,
and big shrimp..
We loved this meal
Dessert ( usually I dont like bread pudding)..but this was delicious..the caramel warm sauce on top of the ice cream too...oh my..will definitely do this restaurant again

The grilled chicken is no longer an option, it's been taken off the menu.

I noticed today that there is work being done in the Polynesian (where Ohana is?). I assume Ohana is not affected?

Ohana is not affected but the lobby is.

The meat is not plain. It is marinated in some sort of Asian type seasoning.

The chicken skewers have been removed from the menu. Chicken wings have been "promoted" to entree status and a vegetarian appetizer included.

Thanks. I've not been before but do have it booked. Is it all a buffet so that 'promoting' the chicken wings doesn't make too much of a difference? Or does it not work that way?

It's all served family style.

Thanks - 'family style' isn't a term I've heard before (UK).. :blush::blush:
So you still choose what you want and eat it from the table? No extra of certain favourites?

They bring most things to you on a big platter and you serve yourself at your table. Meat options are brought around on skewers and they put what you want on your plate. They will bring more of whatever you want. Great place. Our favorite at Disney!

Brilliant!! Thanks again all! :cool1:
Can't wait.
Also doing Cali Grill, Boma, Hollywood Brown Derby, Narcoosees (and a few others).:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
