'Ohana dinner

I love all the positive reviews, DFi and I were waivering on whether to go or not. I think we have to go now :goodvibes

We are going for the first time in November and these reviews make me pretty excited. Our reservations are at 6:45pm and Wishes is at 8pm so I'm hoping for a nice view of the Fireworks!

Ohana is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Disney! The atmosphere is fun, everyone is your cousin, the skewers are incredible, the bread is yummy...one of the best places to eat at Disney IMO. My only regret about my upcoming trip is that we haven't been able to get an ADR for it!:sad2:

We love 'Ohana for dinner and for breakfast, too. The dinner is delicious, my advice would be to sample everything and then go back to your favorite dishes (since it's all you can eat). The dumplings are fried and so yummy, we always get two plates of those. The salad is wonderful, with a ginger dressing--DD13 looking over my shoulder says the dressing is the best! I've found the skewered meat to be a little inconsistent, but still, it's good. As if you need to fill up after all of this, the noodles are, well, filling, but yummy and worth a taste. AND..the bread pudding is worth saving room for. To save room, I'd consider skipping the welcome bread. But, DD13, still reading over my shoulder, disagrees!

Breakfast at 'Ohana is loads of fun, how can it not be fun with Stitch! Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto are in attendance and they all give great autographs that are actually in character...don't forget the autograph book. Breakfast is served in a skillet with potatoes, sausage and eggs. There's a basket of pastries and AWESOME juice...we seriously drank every drop and got refill after refill until the CM brought us a carafe.

One other thing, if you have a later dinner seating at 'Ohana, it's possible to see the fireworks over the castle. If you have an earlier seating, it's possible to scoot over to MK to see the parade and fireworks. It's a great location after a day at MK or Epcot.

Enjoy!! :)

Definitely go for it. Ohana's is a must do for us on every trip. The food is delicious. THe sides and the salad are great. Try all the different meats. I have a diffeent favorite every time I go. Bread pudding never souned that appealing to me unti I tried it at O'hanas. It is one of the best deserts I have ever had. They have great entertainment for the kids also.

Do it!!! Book it ASAP! Ths is one of our favorite places to eat at WDW. The food is really good and the atmosphere is fun. If you have children, they have a lot of fun activities for them to help keep them occupied. If you're not familiar with 'Ohana, the food is served family style and the meat comes out on 3 ft. skewers. The sides are delicious and the dessert is to die for.......Bread Pudding!!! Mmmmmmm! Here's a link to the menu:

Hope this helps with your decision!

Definitely book it! :thumbsup2It was fabulous! :banana:Loved the atmosphere and the food was outstanding! We also enjoyed the activities (coconut races and hula dancing). The singer even dedicated a song to a couple on their honeymoon and they had a private dance - so great for those without kids too! It was my absolute favorite meal the entire trip! :cool1:

I will be the dissenting opinion....

While the food is pretty good, it is just way too noisy and chaotic for my liking. Actually, my DH refuses to go back.

For breakfast, however, I really enjoy it!

We ate there for the first time in May and we loved it! This is the best place Disney has to offer IMO. We asked for a view of the castle when we made the ressie. Perfect dinner that ended while watching Wishes. Couldnt ask for anything more

In a word....AWESOME!

My crew loves Ohana! It's a must do for us on every trip. The only thing that would make it any better is if they replaced the noodles with the yummy potatoes they used to have!!!!! :)

This seals the deal for us. We will go for the first time in December! DS9 has been dying to try 'Ohana and I think my parents will like it too. I have to send an email out to Custom Mouse Plans and let them know that 'Ohana is on our must-do list!

We are not travelling with children this time, and would prefer a table "away from the action" - is that possible?

Do I just let the hostess know at check in?

We are there for our first night and like to walk around the resort with a fruity drink before dinner.
