I have read some other places that you can order your a few "kid friendly" items that are not in the family style offering. Has anyone experienced this recently? We have a picky 3 year old and an adventurous 8 year old. I'm just trying to make everyone happy! 49 days!!

On our last few trips the kids had mac and cheese and chicken fingers with fries. We just had to ask because it wasn't on the menu. :)

I am guessing it would just be the normal child's price for dinner/# of credits. We paid out of pocket. :)

Our not-picky toddlers happily ate the noodles, potstickers, chicken and steak. They were given Rice Krispy treats for dessert, but asked for and received ice cream with sprinkles. :)

The only info I have is old in 2006 my then 5 year old would eat nothing but hot dogs (no buns), mac n cheese, chicken fingers and French fries. A very kind waitress patted me on the back and said don't worry about it they grow out of it and went out and got her chicken nuggets, macncheese and fries. They charged me the kids meal price.

What is it about the buns?!?
DGD went through a long spell of eating franks without bread or condiments. Mind you, this was during the same time I could get her to clean her room/do her homework if I said I was making gazpacho, LOL.

You want to know something really sad? At 17 she still loves hot dogs but claims that she eats them without buns to cut down on calories and carbs.

so yes what others have posted, Disney will go the extra mile to make sure the kids will have something they will eat. What normally happens with this and also with some allergy issues is that they will just get the items that are not on there menu from one of the other resort kitchens. A trick or rule to follow at the Deluxe resorts is 9 times out of 10 if it is on the private dinning menu then it is available at any of the Restaurants at the resort, excluding breakfast for like dinner and stuff like that

Our waitress at Ohana offered typical kid food (hot dog, chicken strips, burger, etc) as we ordered our drinks on our last trip (March 2017) - we didn't even have to ask! We were still just charged the 1 table service credit.

At least she has an irrefutable excuse in hand that proves she's growing right into adulthood;).
This food thingie with DGD was new to me because I had 2 boys who would eat most any that wasn't nailed down including MY dinner.

They offered chicken tenders and fries for my kids. They were quite picky at the time but they did enjoy the noodles and my son scarfed down the edamame which surprised me.

They have chicken fingers and french fries for picky eaters. I'll never go back with the kids, it was such a waste of money since they hated everything else that was offered. They will charge the amount the kid will normally pay for the restaurant. It's not listed on the menu, you just need to ask.

They are very accommodating at Ohana! It is a "must do" dining experience every time we go to Disney!

My kids eat the regular food that is served at Ohana but they did offer us chicken fingers, fries, hot dog. We said no thank you and the kids filled up on everything else.

Our kids ate the regular food there. It's not exotic.

Based on these boards it comes off like most kids only eat chicken fingers and fries or grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner at home every night.
