We would like to try 'Ohana during our trip in Jan. '03. That is, almost all of us. Our 21 y.o. DD is a VERY, VERY, picky eater, I know she would not eat, let alone try, any of the Luau menu.
I am wondering if anything else is available from the dinner menu?
I really don't want to skip this, it sounds like so much fun, and the food sounds great. I know DH, DS and myself would love it here.
Thanks,

The Luau and Ohana restaurant are two different things. I'm assuming you're talking about Ohana.

Children can order from the Kona Cafe children's menu if desired. As far as I know adults pay a fixed price of $21 or whatever. Having paid that, I'm not sure what other alternatives they would give you.

-- I'm sure they would provide a vegetarian meal if requested in advance.
-- I'm almost sure they would let you order from the children's menu for $21!
-- Keep in mind that they don't "take orders" (except for dessert) and so are not likely to be as flexible as a "menu" restaurant. They just won't have alternatives in the kitchen.

You can always call the restaurant a day or two in advance and explain the situation.

Even though you don't choose what you eat at O'hana, there is still a good variety. Turkey, pork, steak, shrimp, vegetabls, bread, salad, wontons, rice, etc.... hopefully, if you can't order her something else, she will be able to find something she likes there. It really is a good restaurant with excellent service, food and ambiance.
Same goes for the Luau, you don't choose your meal there either, but you don't get as wide a variety. We liked the luau food as well, but I know a lot of people do not.

I really bet they would let you get something off the Kona Cafe menu. Check outthe menu on wdwig.com if you haven't.

I am a veretarian and I always order something different. I do let them know in advance. The chef visits my table and asks what my likes and dislikes are and then I get a great meal. Last trip 2 weeks ago I ordered grouper with teriyaki glazed veggies on noodles. It was wonderful!

Thanks for all the great replies. I will call before we go, hopefully, they will let her order something off the Kona menu.
