My family will be staying at the Poly in October for 11 days. I have some really great ADRs lined up, including Ohana, but after hearing feedback from the rest of my family, they may not be as into it as I am.

I REALLY would like to have some of the bread pudding at the very least. Is there anywhere else that I can get the bread pudding at the Poly? It looks too good to pass up!

Ive heard people have managed to get the bread pudding when eating at Kona cafe :thumbsup2

I sooo want to try the bread pudding too at Ohana, but the rest of the meal does not appeal to me as much. We are booked for Kona, and like the PP has said I'm hoping to order it from Kona. It seems others on the board have been successful doing this :cool1:

Are you eating at Boma anytime during your trip?

Their bread pudding isn't quite as good as Ohanas, but it is right up there.

Also, you could always make it at home by getting the recipe from the recipe board.

Best Bread Pudding in the world is at San Angel Inn (Mexico/EPCOT). I have tried them all and SAI wins by a landslide.

I too want the bread pudding but didn't like the service we got last time at Ohana's.

Do people just ask for the bread pudding? Has anyone gotten turned down when asked? I ask because I just made a ADR for Kona in hopes of getting the bread pudding.:rotfl:

There have been some reports that Ohana didn't have enough to share on occasion. So while it seems most of the time (at least per the reports on here) it is possible, there are times when for whatever reason it's not. So if I wasn't going to Ohana, while I'd be thrilled if I could get it, I wouldn't get my hopes up because it would be my luck that I'd be at Kona on a night when there wasn't enough to share.

I do not believe that you can get just the dessert at Ohana, as it is served "with" the family style dinner. And since that is all Ohana serves....well I don't think you can get just dessert.

And the post about Boma's bread pudding.........NOTHING like Ohana's. Just saying, it isn't even close.

I think they were asking about at Kona how people have been getting the bread pudding. I could be wrong, but that's how I interpreted it.

Yes, I was asking about other locations at the Poly where the Ohana bread pudding could be ordered. It sounds like Kona Cafe is the best bet.

Thank you guys so much! The bread pudding has been described by so many people as a heavenly dessert, so I have to give it a go to get it. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the feed back. Good to know you can try but don't get your hopes up. Im guessing if you go during FD, there is a better chance you may not be able to get it at Kona. But its worth a shot. :)

Exactly! You never know when you might get some :wizard: after all!!

I know it's blasphemy on here, but I'm truly a fan of neither bread pudding OR bananas, so I was kind of bummed when my dad said "No, I think I like Ohana better" after I'd researched to see there was non-fish or coconut stuff at Kona. I was pumped about the chocolate desserts they have there. Too bad we won't be there at the same time to meet up and sneak a different dessert to each other!! :lmao:

I wonder if you can go to Kona just for the chocolate desserts. The rest of your party can have coffee or something to drink and you can have a yummy dessert. :) If you could time your ADR right, you could leave Ohanas and then go to Kona. :lovestruc

If you can't get it at Kona... Id go to Raglan Road and get the bread and butter pudding there best dessert ive had in all of WDW

Thanks so much for the suggestion on an alternative location for great bread pudding. I just NEED bread pudding when I am at WDW. :)

I've heard great things about the bread pudding at Raglan Road, also. In fact, one of these days I'm going to go there just to get that dessert. :goodvibes

Oh my, I will have to try that one! Just checked the menu on allears.net and here is the description of the SAI one:

Capirotada de Chocolate Blanco - white chocolate golden raisin bread pudding served with Mexican milk caramel $5.75

Banana Bread Pudding Sundae - served warm with Bananas Foster topping and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream $6.49
Is it anything like the bread pudding at Ohana
