Do they pipe the music down to the Poly beach when Wishes starts or can you only hear the music in the restaurant? We are thinking about walking down to the beach to watch the fireworks show.
They do pipe in the music at the Poly on the beach for Wishes but it is generally very low. If you walk down from the main lobby, past the pool and go to the right and stay near the walkway you can hear the music. This is our favorite place to watch Wishes (besides Main Street) and is definately worth it. You can also catch the Electric Water Pagent from the same place.
Not well at all...better from the beach. Remember the volcano pool is between O'hana and the lake. Some window seats at O'hana don't get a very good view of anything because of that dog-gone volcano slide!
Great question. I was also wondering the same.... I'm going in November and my kids are 3. I was thinking on making reservations at Ohana for Thanksgiving dinner and then watching the fireworks. I figured watching the fireworks from the beach won't scare them as much because I don't think it will be so loud.
In my limited experience, an hour before Wishes is scheduled. You'll have a wait to get seated, so as long as you show up on time or a little early, you'll have a cushion to still be eating during Wishes. Too much earlier and you're pushing being done with your meal (unless you have a really long wait time, which is very possible).
