I haven't tried Kona but the menu looks yummy. We are Ohana fans and plan on going back there in just a few short weeks. Ohana takes the dining plan and it's the same menu that everyone else has. (All you can eat meal)
Check the disboard here for the latest menu's on the two restaurants. Either one will put you in the Polynesian mood.
Oh, Ohana also has activities for children during dinner. Our six year old dd loves it here!
At 'Ohana you use the same menu whether you have the DDP or not. There are not 2 different menus. In fact, I don't believe there are different menus at any of the DDP participating restaurants.
I would definitely do 'Ohana with the 6 year olds. They should have fun participatin gin the children's activities and such. Last year we had 4 adults and 5 children (12, 9, 7, 5, 2). Everyone of us had a great time.
I have been thinking about exactly the same thing today. I plan to have dinner at Polynesian before going to the Pirate and Princess party. Which one would take longer? We don't want to miss too much of the party. Do they both start to server dinner at 5pm?
I have never been to Kona, but my 6 year old loved the things to do during dinner at Ohana - coconut rolling races, hula lessons, kept him from getting bored and restless at the table
