The cast of this 'no expenses spared extravaganza......'
Me - Alison, 50'ish, been to WDW and DL and always said that Disney 'just isn't France'.
DD - Chloe, 15, youngest of our tribe and AT LAST enjoying getting all the treats 'cause older brother and sister have left home!
My sis - Sally, approaching 50 herself but actually she's my little sister who needs taking care of and sorting out!
Nephew/cousin son - Thomas, just 8, knows the dialogue of most disney films but has never visited the Mouse!
My family and I (do I sound like the Queen?) have been lucky enough to visit DL and WDW 3 times so far. My sis on the other hand has been to none, zero, zilch. The irony is that she is the one who is a sucker for all things Disney and always has been. I do like it, but I KNOW that Bambi is only a made up character and that, unlike Peter Pan, 100% of little boys are genetically predisposed to grow up. My sister, on the other hand, kind of believes that the world according to Walt may just be the real world and it's us who are living the illusion.
Anyway, we decided that it was time for Sally and Thomas to get a look in. So Sally and I planned a surprise trip for Thomas's Christmas present. We booked a package direct with DLP and booked flights with Easyjet. My 2 daughters created a book to give Thomas on Christmas Day, all about his magical trip to see Mickey, and we stuck the tickets on the last page. So now we're all set for our journey to the 'real world'! We just didn't know who was most excited!!
