Instead of stuck in our homes DURING A BLIZZARD. I live between D.C. and Baltimore and this weather is just CRAZY!!!! I would love to be at any DVC resort right now.....I would take any of them. I am done with WINTER.

I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL WE GO TO HHI this July...bring on the HEAT.

Oh yeah, I agree!!! We're in DE and it just started here a few hours ago but just knowing its going to last until tomorrow night is giving me cabin fever. Also soooo looking forward to a wonderful beach vacation in June at HHI - have to keep thinking nice sunny beach thoughts to weather this storm!!

We live near Annapolis and I am wishing we had hopped on a plane this morning LOL!

I was thinking about that earlier, MinnieGi good to see another member from the metropolis of Hockessin

We are in Springfield, it sucks. I just got back from wdw so not only do I have the post disney blues, but 30" of impending doom is making my mood worse. Oh to be in Florida right now...:guilty:I was supposed to be living in Orlando right now...

The threat of the bad weather is what prompted me to book a trip in September. I just love all the planning, it keeps my mind off of all the snow we will have to shovel tomorrow. Aaaah I can't wait to relax at the BCV.

I'm in Alexandria and I agree I'd much rather be at Disney. Although I'd pretty much take anywhere without snow over here right now! Any guesses on how long its going to take us to dig out? I've only been stuck inside for a day and I'm already antsy to get out!

Man am i hating all this snow. Im out in the shenandoah vally, va and we have about 13" now and much more to go. I have a week trip booked in april for my very first DVC Welcome Home at BLT. It cannot get here soon enough.

I need a vacation now...it's getting colder and colder in new york...and the snow is on it's way

I am so sorry for you all. After watching the news and hearing all the bad conditions you have going on right now, I am very thankful we just have to put up with rain. It gets unbearably hot here in July and August, but at least we can get out of the house and find air-conditioning when we get heat induced cabin fever. I am hoping, for you, that it will not be as bad as they think. At least you have the Super Bowl to watch. Good luck!

I live 15 min. from the OP, & we have over a foot of snow already. Can't wait to get to WDW.

My countdown ticker says it all!

I totally agree, and worst of all ... We just got back from the world on Tuesday. So much for escaping Winter! :sad2:

This has me looking at the homes for sale in the VB area. I have to get to my store sometime and get the plow going. Going to be a very long day. just got off the phone need to get going. i only need to go 1/2 mile to get to the store. have someone ready to get plowing.

Thankfully, we have only received about 8" overnight....predictions were for 16-24" down here and the radar shows a clear back edge :surfweb: I work in Arlington and DW works 14th and Constitution in DC, so we chickened out and didn't go to work yesterday...we both used vacation time that we need for the world:mad:

Be safe out there.....:hippie:

In Falls Church, VA ... 8 miles west of the White House...and it's really weird looking outside...all the shrub and low-lying tree branches are bent way over, creating a shrouded white/grey landscape that defies description...I've never seen anything like it...

I suppose it's pretty...but it's too strange looking for "pretty" to sink in...

We're due to fly down to Disney tomorrow (Sunday)...flight is scheduled to leave at 11:30 am...can't tell you how hard I'm hoping the plane flies (even if late)!

The big challenge will be getting to the airport...the storm is forecast to end by tonight, so I suspect the main roads will be driveable by the 8:30 or 9 a.m. time I "should" leave...but there's a mile between me and a main road...and it's a mile of rolling hills (that resemble mountains in this weather!)...I plan to walk it if my street isn't plowed...I may arrive at Disney w/basically nothing (other than my absolutely required laptop--I have to work next week--which weighs 7 pounds and will feel 10 times that by the time I hike out to the main road, I'm sure)...

That's ok...I need a new wardrobe of Disney t-shirts anyway (grin!)...

Leaving behind my dog w/a 25-year-old guy (friend of DS) who will watch him for me the five days I'm gone...he's already volunteered to do all the shoveling out that will be required Sunday-Monday...makes me VERY glad we invited him (and he came) w/us on our Jan trip...he's so happy to have a way to "thank us" for that and I'm so happy I don't have to worry about dog or shoveling once I get out of town!

Wonder if things will still be in a state of paralysis when I get back Friday, 2/12? This is a monster storm/pile of snow...hard to see how DC, which really does not cope at all well w/snow, will be back to anything like normal in "only" five days!

We're in Alexandria too. Tons of snow and a tree fell on the back deck. Cannot wait until HHI in June.

My 4 year old put on a tank and shorts yesterday and packed her backpack and said "I'm done with all this snow. I'm going to pretend Disney World."
