Pat, I am very sorry about your cat! I am sure you all must miss him a lot. Close friends of mine lost a cat recently and when I visited them, even I missed her just as a visitor.

The Blue Sky Cellar is so impressive, I would hope they would do something like this at WDW for the projects there as well!

Oh, Pat...I am so sorry to hear Shiny has crossed. One of the most loving gifts we can give our fluffs is to help them cross when we know it is time. Never makes it easier, but we know they are no longer suffering. Would love to see a photo of Shiny, if you'd be comfortable posting one.

Thanks Shiny was a special cat. Very friendly and almost dog like. I had a cat just like him growing up and I am glad my kids had a pet like him.


Blue Sky Cellar was really neat to see. I hope if they did change it to Fantasyland for DL that they moved it somewhere in Carsland so others can see it.

Thanks Shiny was special. I know this was the right time. I realize now how much care he needed, now that I don't have to do it anymore. He had a couple of days outside at the end to enjoy what he liked doing.

I will try to find a photo.

Blue Sky Cellar was neat.

Shiny was a special cat. We were all together. Tough situation but we have some nice memories of his antics.

Thanks everyone- I was able to go through some old pictures and found a couple I may share. They are of him much younger and full of life. Seeing those really makes me realize how much life was drained from him and how thin he really was.

The Blue Sky Cellar looks amazing. I bet I could spend a ton of time in there. The Imagineering process just looks fascinating, and I love all the detail.

Lots of little things and details about the lights, the buildings, well everything. The RSS track layout and the section on some of the "family " photos were really cute to appeal to the whole family.

I did enjoy all the pictures from the last post! Very cool!

I was able to spend a chunk of time in there and wish I spent more.

I hope if and when I go back it is still there - if not in the Blue Sky Cellar - somewhere in Carsland.

It was time. The shot the vet gave him let him have the last few weeks what I presume relatively pain free. I could tell it was wearing off and his body was just breaking down.

I do miss him, I still find myself doing some things as if he will come up in the yard to visit. He was always underfoot and I am still looking around to make sure I don't step on him.

The kids seem fine but I know they are feeling it too. Just an adjustment we all have to make.

I do have a rare morning off since I am working the weekend and teaching.
Have the air conditioner guy coming to do routine service on the units.
Hope to get some yard work done and then head into work.

Pat - I am just reading about shiny and I can't tell you how truly sorry I am. Max has been having issues with his diabetic control and it makes me realize that I don't have a lot of time left with him. I really empathize with your loss. I truly do! I am glad he had 16 awesome cat years!

Loved your last update. The pictures of all the details are just great. You always do such a wonderful job with your detail pictures!
