Fun morning and now, pool time. Sounds like perfection to me right now.

Florida in July. Pool was needed. Didn't want a repeat of the day before.

Once it gets so hot I can't say I blame you for leaving the park and going to take a cool down break.

It must feel pretty darn good to get on that air conditioned bus and relax from there on out. Does it make for a much better evening when you rest like that vs. hitting the park all day?

I learned my lesson. Cannot rememebr if I took the boat back or walked.

Being at the Beach Club I knew I had a short trip to get to the room.

1:30 was typically our pool-break time as well!

I had fun with the dresses. About 1:30 or so was as long as I could take before I was feeling the heat and humidity.

I took it with my zoom. After I get in the camera goes away - The CMs yell at you if you don't.

I could not remember but my pictures tell me I ended up taking the boat.

That sign kind of became the theme of sorts- I was going at idle speed, Taking breaks, going to the pool.

My afternoon was spent at the pool. Did not even think to bring the waterproof camera down. Just went to the Adult pool which was so close. Basically did the hotfoot dance to the pool steps and then just cooled off, got out sat in a chair and when I got really hot again I went back in.

Exciting I know.

Some families there, some couples. I enjoyed watching everyone ( because that’s what I do )

Not really for danger but for entertainment.

It was July 3rd. The MK was doing their traditional July 4th Eve fireworks.

The plan of attack was to park at the TTC and walk over to the Poly. 7:50 and it looks clear….

I saw this

No sooner did I get into the Poly and the skies opened up. Even though the parking lot picture looked clear there were some pretty impressive lightning bolts to the east of MK.

Some looking around the gift shop and I thought this was cute.

Finally I got a bit tired of wandering around with a crowd of wet people. I had an idea.

I made my way out a side door and over to one of the long houses. I figured I could just find one with a seating area at one end and sit there for a while.

Well BUSTED. As soon as I walked in a CM was right there asking if I was staying in that long house.

Ummm NO just passing through.

Since it was raining he let me through. I found a covered area and had a seat.

I was dry and not too uncomfortable so it was fine. It was really getting noisy in the lobby area and O’hana was in full swing.

I was close to this door.

Well the sensor was a good one because every once in a while if I just moved slightly it would open . It took a while to position myself so it would stop doing that.

Finally the rain stopped. I was sneaky and grabbed towels and found a spot on the beach. Fireworks were delayed and I just waited along with everyone else.

It was like they were looking for a place to sit.

While the show was going on I could still see lightning bolts to the right of the Contemporary.

When it was all over, I picked up my towels and put them in the towel bin and slowly made my way back to the TTC.

Getting out was interesting but not horrible. It was like leaving a large football game or concert or Disney on Ice but it was moving and I was back to BCV in a short time.

Straight to bed and ready for July 4th .

Hate you had to dodge the rain, but at least they didn't cancel the fireworks show. I guess the bar was too crowded to drink while you waited........

This is why I like to be at the Polynesian on 'special' nights. You can't appreciate that whole spread of fireworks from closer up. Fourth of July is amazing, as is New Year's Eve.
