Oh what a horrible trip!!!! Now for something completely different-Final blast ......

The shoppers will have fun with this update. :thumbsup2

My wife and daughter managed to stop by DTD when they were in California a couple of years ago. They highly recommend Tortilla Jo's. Not that it does you any good now, but there you have it. :rotfl2:

There have been soooo many changes since I was last at DL, I don't think I'll even recognize it. We've never ventured out of DL so I'm sure it would be fun to see
DTD.

Don't you just love how close everything is?!? :) The parks are close to one another, the hotels are close to the parks and (I'd probably stay at the Candy Cane Inn), restaurants. I really need to plan a trip there. ::yes::

am I the only person that finds it odd to see the AK mug at DL? Doesn't work. But I love the GC wine glasses! I NEED a couple of those.

WOC looks amazing !!! Your pix are far better than moine would be !!1Just ask Marv , I made him feel like he was spinning !!:rotfl2::rotfl2: Just counted in 100 days I will be in Disney:cool1::cool1::cool1:

The only problem is zooming in does not really give perspective on how massive it really is. My guess would be like Fantasmic is it were all in a straight line instead of curved around the theater.

Trying to catch up a little. It was nice to start this day with World of Color and some browsing through World of Disney via your pictures.

I am glad I could put a bit of smile on your face this morning. I hope things are settling a bit after the festivities and vacation so you truly get some time off.

After debating about the Mickey mugs many times, I took the plunge in March and brought back one for Jill and one for myself, so we are truly official DISers now, I guess.

I am glad you have one for cocoa or milk or whatever else you choose since you are not a coffee drinker. :)

What are all those people in line for???

I had to look at the date of the picture but I believe those are just the line for DL to go in for the Halloween party.

I have this pillow and the DIS mug!

I read that! ;) I thought it was cute and I had not seen one at WDW like that but now I know I can pick up one there. I think I need one.

Memom -you are more an official DISer than anyone! You and Jill should have had a mug a long time ago! Congrats!

They both need the DIS town Founders Mug. ::yes::

Well, I thought about getting them several times, but I kept putting it off, because I'm such a penny pincher when it comes to buying myself anything. Then I decided I would get Jill one, too, and that would make it easier to make the purchase, in my mind. ;) I remember looking for them on one trip and couldn't find them, so in March when I saw them, I figured I better get them while I could. You know how Disney is with some things - they come and they go.

I didn't realize that -- it just moved way up on my list. :thumbsup2
Here is the current dining in for passes.
World of Color Prix Fixe Meals: Dining packages, which include a ticket to the Reserved Viewing Area, are available at Wine Country Trattoria (lunch and dinner) and Ariel's Grotto (dinner only). These packages can be reserved up to 60 days in advance (subject to availability) by calling Disneyland Dining, 714-781-DINE. Each location offers a fixed menu with choice of entree. Prices range from $29.99-$41.99 for adults (depending upon location), and $18.99-$21.99 for kids.

On days when there is more than one World of Color show the time of the reservation determines the associated show time. Please verify the show time with Disney when making your reservation

Guests who dine at the Carthay Circle Restaurant for either lunch or dinner may also choose to receive a World of Color Fastpass. To be eligible they must order either an appetizer and entree or an entree and dessert. Those who dine before 7:00 receive a Fastpass to the first show, those dining after 7:00 receive a Fastpass to the second show. These passes allow guests to access the Center Stage Viewing Area.

That's not true. It's just not anything you really want to see. :rolleyes2

True - You got me there. :rotfl2:

Thanks for taking the picture of the price tag on that robe at Downtown Disney....you know your audience. I wanted to know the price!

When I saw the price I knew I had to share. :lmao:

Sorry Guys. Those some of the odds and ends I had bunched in with CA. DL is next complete with Halloween party. :goodvibes

At the time I trekked down there I really wished Earls was open. I did grab something one night from a Mexican place. Maybe it was Tortilla Joe's:confused3

Thanks for the pictures of Downtown Disney at Disneyland. $70 for a robe? :faint: I think I'll pass on that purchase. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I did make good use of the one in the room though... ;) I just didn't feel the need to bring it home.:lmao:

Lots of changes and I really enjoyed the trip. I know if I get the chance to go back, I will enjoy it more since I have a basic idea of the lay of the land now.

It certainly did catch my attention in WoD. I thought it a bit odd too.

I also took the wine glasses pictures with you in mind. ::yes:: I thought you would like them.

One of the reasons I really want to go to DL is WOC. All the pictures I have seen of it are just amazing!

You have to line up for the Halloween party at DL??? You would think it would probably be like MK where you can just go in the park with your regular ticket and they herd everyone else out at normal park closing time if you don't have a ticket or armband to stay for the party.........:confused3

So glad you treated yourself to a mug. You if anyone deserve it. :thumbsup2

It is an amazing show!!!

I agree with Kathy $70 for a robe .... No Way!!!!

I agree too!!!!

That picture was taken about 6:15 on a Friday night. I just think it was a flood of people waiting to get in on a party night.
I do think the rules are the same but a rush people created the lines at that time.

Uhm,,,yeah,,,, don't think I would be spending the much $ for that robe.

I love that the official DIS mug (I mean unofficial, but whose counting) is at DTD in California. Very cool considering there is no AK theme there.

The robes were nice for the room but no I would not be paying THAT much to buy one.

The mug looked so odd there I actually remembered to take a picture of it. :)

Aww, that is so cool! :thumbsup2

I do like them. A LOT!

Put it on your DL list. :thumbsup2 If I drank wine they would have come home or been shipped home. I just got the coffee mug and it is in the regular rotation.

8am opening? Nice! And no crowds to speak of - even nicer. As far as the opening show - hmmmmmm.

I do think its so funny how most things didn't open on time. But I love the proximity to the parks. How great.

That opening show looks fantastic!!!! :rotfl2:
Though I have yet to see the one at Mk at WDW yet, so I should keep my mouth shut! :rolleyes1
