Oh that famous salad

We have a lunch ADR for the brown derby. We're planning on just getting the cobb salad and the grapefruit cake for a light lunch. This was one of only a few requests of DH.

Are we going to be disappointed with this meal? I've been reading some not-so-hot reviews lately.

Also, this will be OOP.

I have read both great reviews and not so great reviews of those two items...I say if its something you want to try then do it

We love Brown Derby! Grapefruit cake was one of DH favs! Last time there we had just appetizers and wine samplers, but we had to have something there. It was divine. Go for it!

I so agree with just having to get something here. We missed it our last trip and it just looks like a fun lunch spot.

I am a fan of the Brown Derby although I do not like the cobb salad. The texture/consistency of oatmeal was not to my liking. My husband loves it though. We've eaten at Brown Derby many times and other than the cobb, I've enjoyed all of my meals there.

This past July my family were looking for a lunch in DHS and figured we would see if we could get in HBD.... We weren't sure if it would be okay that we did not have ressies, we were just dressed for the parks, and we only planned on ordering the Cobb salad. Luckily they were perfectly fine with all of these We got right in and had this AMAZING waiter that we chatted up the whole time! The rest of my family ordered the Cobb salad and i ordered the curry noodle bowl... Both were amazing although the noodle bowl was spicy (which was fine with me). After our entrees we had to try the grapefruit cake... Unfortunately it was a tad bitter for our taste. Even at that though i would still recommend trying it maybe it will fit yours
