Oh NOOOOOO! My dress doesn't fit!

I just tried my dress on last night, and wasn't able to zip it all the way up. Ugh!!!! I haven't been able to work out in about 3 months due to medical problems and a car accident. That combined with feeling-sorry-for-myself snacking has slowly added on the pounds (7 to be exact).

Okay, I've got 3 months until my VR, so that's plenty of time to lose it, right? Please reassure me!

Hey, anyone want to be my wedding weight loss buddy? I'll do better if I feel like I have to be accountable to someone.
 
OH NO! I'm so sorry for you!! But, three months is plenty of time to lose 7 pounds! That's 1/3 of a pound a week! Good luck with your goal!
 
I think 3 months is PLENTY of time to lose 7lbs, if not more!!! I'm hoping that in the next 3 months I can lose between 13-26lbs before we go to our planning session, which is averaging between 1-2lbs a week. I will definitely be a weight-loss buddy! :thumbsup2

3 month's is plenty of time.Eat right and exercise as much as you can!!!!!!

I'm like a month away and I'm watching what I eat and exercising more than ever and you know what is really good for losing inches,Pilates. I do Mary Winsor pilate's and they are the best. They are so easy to do. They tone you up nice too.

Don't panic you will fit in your dress!!!!
 
Even my thinnest friends are generally able to lose 5 pounds in 1-2 weeks eating low carb. Something like South Beach or Atkins. And they are really not unhealthy plans, both have lots of salads and lean meats (if you want them). South Beach is easier to maintain for 3 months, but Atkins works faster and is easier because it's rather strict (but simple).

Except for a few people who had difficulty with the first few days, Atkins gives you a lot of energy and makes you feel good.

You have great motivation & you can do it!
 
3 months is definitely doable.
I'm trying to lose 3-4lbs in 1 month. That's 1lb per week.
I know that doesn't sound like much but I haven't been able to try on my dress this past month I want to make sure I fit in it ... :lmao:
So far I think I'm doing well.
I don't even exercise too much (at least 30min running or fast walking 6x/week + 30min weight training 3x/week). Plus I watch what I eat but not deprive myself because I learn that depriving myself will just lead me to binging eventually.
And I've been able to lose 1lb this past week...

I guess what I'm trying to say is it's doable... don't despair.

You can do it ! Sounds like there are lots of us in the same boat! I have 10 weeks and want to lose 10 lbs!
 
This is so doable! You need to be accocntable for everything you put in your mouth. Write it down and use an online calorie counter. Weight loss is simple math- you need to burn more than you put in. People are usually surprised at how much they eat in calories, especially in liquids.

Use crystal light drink, water to make you feel full so you only eat when you really ARE hungry. I gained weight and did this and realized I was ingesting about 2000 cals a day!!! I used to eat around 1300 so that was a huge jump. And if you eat out, choose healthier options and do NOT eat the whole meal. Restaurant portion sizes are soooooo skewed!! A normal portion size is usually 1/3 of what they serve you.

I have lost 18 pounds in 5 months and that was with a lot fo cheating and no exercise. I just started walking a brisk pace for 30 minutes 4x a week and watching the cals again and lost 3 pounds last week.

You can TOTALLY do this!:thumbsup2

Definitely you can lose it, that's plenty of time! I gained 3 stubborn pounds over the last few months after my father passed away and it may not seem like a lot, but for me 3 pounds is the difference between fitting into my favorite jeans or the old, faded, stretched out ones! I always gain in my hips :sad2: I have to get in the favorite ones for a girl's night out at Disney in a few weeks so I'm on the treadmill 5x week (no running - power walking with 1lb. weights for 1 mile and then power incline mode for a second mile) and cutting back on the chips and sweets. I'm right there with you! I want to lose 20 pounds in the next 3 months! That is when I am going to start my dress fittings. I need all the weight loss buddies I can get!!!
 
Okay, it's ON! Thanks for all the support and good advice everyone!

I feel much more in control since I first posted. I've been in physical therapy so I feel strong enough to work out again. In fact I started the day after my post. Has anyone tried Turbo Jam? It's AWESOME! I did the Fat Blaster yesterday and this morning I weighed myself. I'm already down 2 pounds from my first post!! I can do this! We can all do this!

You can def lose it in 3 months.... Can you atleast just walk a mile not run though?
 
I'm also trying to lose 4 inches in 6 months. It's so difficult. When you cut back on stuff you just crave it more. I've just been drinking lots of water, taking the stairs instead of the lift and trying to use my lateral thigh trainer 3 times a week. We can do this together :yay:
 
you'll be fine! take a romantic walk with your DF a couple of times a week. that way you two can stay connected, plus it's built-in motivation to have quality time during all of the stressful planning :)
 
I'm working on losing weight while working on a cruise ship. Talk about counter productive! But I'm using Slimfast products, since it's pretty much on of the only things around where I KNOW what the nutritional information is. I have no idea how much oil and salt they put in the food here, but it's a LOT.
I've lost a few inches since Christmas, and I want to lose at least as many again.
I'm walking a couple of miles several times a week, and will start back on my jogging program this week - so my fiance and I can jog together when I get back home in June.
 
Tabetha, I had good results with Slim Fast after my first child was born. So did my hubby - he gained even more "baby weight" than I did! It's nice to not have to worry about how many calories you're consuming since it's all packaged right in. Good luck!

My physical therapist kicked my booty today. I was sweating big time for about an hour and a half. Then I ruined it by eating M&Ms. :sad2: Dang it! I told my husband to take those to work with him today! I just have no will power at all.

I'm not going to beat myself up over it though. I'm making a very healthy dinner and I'll just get right back on track. I'll also make myself confess to you all when I do things like that so I feel too guilty to do it again.:thumbsup2
