Oh no! Where to go after my wedding?

I have not been to Raglan Road or Paradiso 37.

I thought Coral Reef was mediocre at best.

Brown Derby was quite good, and they have the added bonus of a more upscale setting and servers in tuxedos. (Too bad the other guests are in t-shirts!) But I love the suggestion of asking about their private dining room - then you really would have the nice atmosphere!

It is very kind of you to think of your guests, but my thinking is that it's YOUR wedding - therefore you and your fiancé's opinions and food preferences are the ones that matter here.

Is there any reason the meal HAS to be lunch? Why not have your ceremony and spend the afternoon with your new husband before meeting back up with your guests for dinner? That would give you more options.

yeah i think it does have to be lunch. the wedding is in the am and It will only be our close family and friends and we are having them travel all thay way. I dont want to kick them out right after they get there!!!
:confused3
I dont necessarily need to have alone time with the fiance after the wedding. I want to celebrate with my family too. No offense to him!!!:lmao::lmao:

Congrats on your upcoming marriage! You must be so excited! The important thing to remember is that it is your wedding and your family/friends will be happy no matter where you go for lunch because they will be happy to celebrate with you!

If your favourite is Raglan Road, then perhaps that is the best place for you.

If I was in your shoes I would do the following: go to Captain's Grille for lunch after the wedding. The cost should be $40 or less/person which is very reasonable for food (I paid about that for my reception...before alcohol). The reason I would do this is because you will not have to worry about travel arrangements falling through--plus the menu/food is amazing--and your day will be a lot less stressful. One of my biggest stressors for my wedding was worrying about the comfort of my guests and thankfully I was able to minimize things so that I didn't worry at all on the day I got married. I would save Raglan Road for just you and your new DH. Maybe that night for dinner or the next day.

Whatever you decide I hope you have a great time!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding! :)
We had our wedding at SBP on 2008 and it was magical.

Now to the dining suggestion, just curious have you talked to your planner regarding a special event dining at the hotel? I remembered back in my day that there were some options on doing stuff like that. And I thought the price was reasonable. Then again it was in 2008.
The special event didn't have to have fancy decors like a wedding reception would be but they would provide food and location (dining room or ball room, etc.).
We had less than 20 people for after wedding day dinner and I was given some options on lunch/brunch in a private room for our farewell dinner. I think the price ranges from $47+service+ tax/pp.

Not sure if you're paying for the lunch or not but I just wanted to mention that.

Oh btw, we had a bad experience with GFC on the morning before our wedding day. I booked them for our group (16 of us) and they made us wait over 45min for bfast to get us seated (no apology). And then the service was just blah, food was ok for bfast but I wouldn't count on the manager to get your a great service for your wedding day.
