Oh no! Sick?

Ugh, I think I am getting hit by something. Didn't feel good when I went to bed. Woke up after about 2 hours of sleep. Throat is killing me... it hurts to talk, swallow, or breathe. My neck looks swollen too about where the glands are and is tender to the touch.

Stomach is all upset from my sinus's draining. I also seem to be running a low fever (99.3ish). Back and shoulders are a bit stiff and sore as well.

This is NOT the time to be getting sick! I have my last class meeting for Stats tomorrow night (tonight?) and then next week is the final. I can't afford to miss class, but I also don't want to go and make anyone else sick.

everyone I know has had this! my dss had this last week so his mom had the dr give him meds, well its a virus so she did him no favors by giving them to him....he had to get rid of it on his own....we leave this week but he is on the mend...I have been giving him OJ and zicam..

Those sinus's draining can be murder on your throat. It could be strep or it could be just drainage. I thought for sure I had strep one time and my Dr told me it wasn't but that it can feel like it.

Drink, a dry throat is a sore throat. Quote from my ENT. Also put a can of your favorite soda in the fridge. That cold fizz on a sore throat hurts so good. I told a friend on mine this and she blew me off then she finally gave in, and loved it. THis is actually one time where I don't drink water, it seem to actually irritate my throat.

Good luck hope you feel better and drink drink drink. And get yourself to a Dr to make sure nothing more serious.

Everyone I knew was asleep at 2am, so I need to panic somewhere!

It's a bit less tender this morning and I finally got some sleep after some Ibuprofen kicked in. I really hope I don't start feeling bad again because I am terrified of missing class tonight. It's the last class of the semester before the final and we are doing review and getting a practice test. I have someone who will be my back up, but I would really prefer to be there myself.

I'll be going upstairs to put a root beer in the fridge!

If you're running a fever with that sore throat you need to get it checked. Strep is nothing to fool around with and it can make you very, very sick if it goes untreated. Best of luck to you. I know everyone around here has the creeping crud.

I just got this exact same thing!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't make even a squeak this morning my throat hurt so bad. Neck and shoulders hurt too. Now that the advil kicked in I am quite a bit better now. I have had strep many times, and this doesn't feel like strep, I think it's just a bad bug.
I am so scared my daughter is going to get it, she has a lead role in a play, with 6 perfomances left this weekend, so she CANNOT get sick!!
