I just read on wdwinfo.com that the Nemo Ride is opening on Sunday, December 10th. I planned a day at EPCOT's Future World that day! I am assuming it will be crowded and I HATE crowds. What do you guys think?

I would imagine that on the opening day (which is always subject to change, and by no means is that date absolute) will draw larger than normal crowds to check out the new attraction.

:guilty: :scared:  :crazy2:  :worried:

I tried to rearrange my schedule, but I can't. We only have a half day planned for here because our plane leaves around 6pm. We only have Innoventions and Ellen's Energy planned for that day. Do you think everyone will be over at the Living Seas with the new ride? I do have ressies for Coral Reef for lunch that day, but if the opening is really that day, I WILL cancel it. I won't be anywhere near that pavillion on that day.

Thanks!

I had no idea Epcot would have anything new this December. I'll be there in December so maybe I'll get a chance to see it. :cool1: Does anyone know anything about it?

If it makes you feel any better- allers.net says this attraction is set to open in Oct. so maybe it won't be so bad.

I've read on other enthusiast forums that 'Nemo the Musical' will be open no later than Nov 12th. Supposedly the EPCOT ride is 'cycling regularly', so I'm hoping that these dates are exaggerated. Late October / early November sounds about right. :confused3

I hope it does open earlier. I'll be there Dec. 9th and 10th too and I hate crowds too. There's no way I could change my day. I already have reservations for dinner and the Candelight Processional.

I really hope it does open in Oct/Nov. If it doesn't open until Dec 10th, we will miss it by 2 days (we leave Dec 8th)

Thanks, notnothin! :teeth:

I saw in the Fall Vacation Magic (quarterly DVC Publication) that in an article about the new Nemo ride to come and see it in October. That would lead me to believe that there will be DVC and Passholder previews in October with soft opening following right after in November. The official opening in December is set more for a grand opening. I would suspect that there will be some sort of event that day to officially open the ride.

Bump

Any news on when the Nemo ride at Epcot an the Nemo musical at AK are actually opening?

There have been various dates floating around - but with 5 weeks to go before my trip I'm beginning to get a bit sad that there won't even be any soft openings by then.

Disney originally said Fall 2006 for the Epcot attraction - not Winter. :sad2:

Drat! I was under the impression the Nemo ride was going to be open early October. :( Guess we won't get to ride after all. :(

I have never heard of anyone going to Epcot just for Innoventions and Ellen's Universe of Energy.

What draws you about solely those two attractions?
:confused3

The Passholder/DVC Previews will be October 13 - 15 so it will be open exclusively for those guests on those dates, the probably close for a day or two for adjustments, then open as a soft opening until the "official" opening day of December 10th.

So December 10th will be more of a press event that morning and will probably be a non event as far as crowds go.

Autumn lasts until December 22.

 That's true, but 10th December is close enough to being winter for the purpose of my rant. Who do Disney think they are? Microsoft? :rolleyes1 (boy, some DISer working for MS will flame me for that) :)

I'm so disappointed - but have got some encouragement from the fact that there may be earlier soft openings.
