Oh no! Not a Nor'Easter!

I am leaving from Flint tomorrow morning at 7:00. I almost called the AIRTRAN and switched to today but decided to stick with my original plans. The heavy snow is supposed to start later today, we already have 2 inches. I hope the flight from Orlando can get into Flint tonite so it will be ready to go tomorrow morning. Temps in the 60's are OK with me as its been a long winter so far. Going to WWSp to see the Braves and later to Lakeland to see the Tigers/Yankees

Just waiting here on the snow. I am in Northern NJ...25 minutes outside NYC. Weather reports keep saying 10-12inches! :sad2: :cold: :rolleyes2
Keep warm everyone up the east coast! And get those snow blowers ready! :cold:

We are expecting anywhere from 3 to 12 inches depending how far east you are on Long Island. I am so tired of all this snow this year. Way to much, we just got rid of the snow from the blizzard in January and had snow Monday and Thursday this past week already. I was just seeing my poor grass peek through and now its covered again. WHEN WILL THIS INSANITY END......

I live in NE PA and the weather report here is calling for up to 14 inches by Tues. afternoon... :sad2:

6 to 8 here in southern Connecticut. It's supposed to start by 4 p.m. today. Of course DD has midterms until 9 tonight and I am a worry wart of a mom :sad1: . Hopefully they'll cancel tonight's class

Don't be to quick to believe the weather man. It was supposed to start here and be bad by rush hour this morning and it just started an hour ago. I stayed home from work because of the prediction and nothing has happened, only flurries so far.

We are about 20 mins from philly and it is a snowing here!
WHERE IS SPRING??????????
My bulbs are a pooping up!
Lets hope this is the last of this SNOW!!!
We are all sick of it up here in PA. :confused3

It's "snowing" here if you can call it that... It's barely sticking to the grass, let alone the roads. Yet all the schools either cancelled or let out early. I just can't wait until tonight when everything freezes over and they have to keep schools closed tomorrow too :cool1: .
I would love to be able to leave early for Disney, but we're going on the 12th and so far, it seems that everything is kinda clear. Oh well, at least it's only 12 days away!! :bounce:

:cold: Will be snowing here later today. They said around 6 or 7pm? I can't stand anymore snow, we will be moving to central Florida in two years. It's not coming fast enough for me. I need more sun not snow :sad2:

We are 45 minutes west of phl. The snow started but seems to be tappering off, not really what channel 6, 3, or 10 said would happen. I wonder if it will be stronger later. Sunday we leave for Disney!

pamouselover:

that would be a great line for the tag fairy to use.. haha

Ok. For all of you travelers to Orlando, I hope the weather doesn't get in your way, but........................

I LOVE THE SNOW, I LOVE THE SNOW..............

I must be the only one hoping for 30 inches. I figure, if it's gotta be cold, it might as well be white. :teeth:

Although we are only expected to get 8-10 I think. It has finally started snowing here but it is really fine.

Have fun on all of your trips. I hope it stops raining in Orlando. Here's some pixie dust. :wizard:

Time to 'rev up' the snowblower again. Latest report: 12 -18 inches for Maine. DRATS! DS will be in school through July with all these snow days.
:sad2:

To any of you traveling to Disney :wizard: for good weather. And to you in the East, including those residing on my Other Favorite Island, good luck and stay safe in the snow. I am sending you thoughts of :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Way to go Delta. Have a good trip!

It's so darn cold and windy here, I think If I step outside, it will blow me right to the MK.

now isn't that a pleasant thought.

good luck everyone if you are trying to get to wdw tmrw and in this storm

Seems like my prediction of the storm missing us early was only wishful thinking. Its here full blast.

Eh, it's "spitting" snow here right now. I've predicted that we'll get just enough to completely block my driveway and put me out there shoveling for an hour - but not enough to close school and let me avoid that shoveling! Ahhh, April can't come quickly enough... best wishes to those who are trying to escape this now!!

Late-Season Winter Storm Takes Aim At East Coast

POSTED: 11:19 am EST February 28, 2005
UPDATED: 5:36 pm EST February 28, 2005

NEWARK, N.J. -- March will be coming in like a lion for much of the Northeast, thanks to a late-season winter storm.

Storm watches and warnings have been posted as far north as Maine, while snow has been coating regions as far south as North Carolina and parts of Kentucky. Forecasters said the snow may mix with sleet and rain in some places.

The National Weather Service predicts New York City may get up to 10 inches of snow before the storm lets up Tuesday morning. Forecasters said 14 inches are possible in parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, while people in the mountains of West Virginia may get as much as 2 feet.

Police in western Virginia are blaming the storm for 100 traffic accidents. Meanwhile, North Carolina utility workers said the heavy, wet snow has led to power outages for more than 11,000 customers.

Schools have been closed up and down the East Coast.

Dozens of schools in and around the nation's capital canceled classes Monday, and federal workers in Washington are being allowed to take unscheduled leave.

More than one-third of West Virginia's counties closed schools Monday morning. Officials also called off classes in parts of western North Carolina, Virginia and Pennsylvania.

:cold: Just came in from shoveling, I am cold and can't stand this snow. Still snowing and very windy, going back to bed now. Our DD has this week off, school vacation up here. So likely no school anyway. Good luck getting out of here today :moped: .

People I know will be going down thursday night wish I was going too.

It's 6:00 a.m. and the phone will ring any minute telling me that school is closed and that my DGDs will be spending the day with me. We'll have fun today. Bake some cookies, and later on head to the hills for some sledding.
I'll DIS tomorrow when the girls are back in school. :sunny:
