Hello! Welcome to my 1st trip report!

I’m Karen and LOVE DISNEY!!

My family is blessed to live in central Florida. We try to visit WDW as often as we can!

This TR is for our annual fall trip. If you haven’t already check out my PTR in my siggy.

Did you get the PP card with a free download in the most recent Mickey Monitor? We don't usually do PP pics, but this was nifty. Despite the three APs in our house, only dh got one this time. Figures when there's a freebie, huh?

Yes I did get it! But I totally forgot to take it with us on our quick trip to see the lights.
I only got one MM in the mail too? Oh well. We won't be going back until after the holidays and the madness.

Unfortunately they were doing the Christmas Parade at MK when we went. What a headache! I totally forgot about it when we made plans to go. Such a pain in the butt to get around. Especially with a double stroller!!!! It wasn't too crowded....and we saw Ryan Seacrest LOL!

I'm going to try and update today....hopefully.

We did a PP share on this trip. Just got it in the mail last week.

Photobucket was not being kind to me. Then I typed up our 1st day and hit preview...then I closed the window instead of posting.

So I will try again tonight to update the TR!!!

I've done that before too! A lot of people type up their updates in Word so in case that happens it won't disappear, I just can't get in that habit it seems.

Yeah...I did retype some in word after it happened. Things have been so busy around here I haven't had much time to sit down at the computer!

Day One - We are on our way!

We left on Sunday in the afternoon since we couldn’t check in until 4:00.

My husband left earlier to pick up Uncle Josh & Jonathan at the airport.

The kids & I left the house around 2:30. We met up with my parents around 3:00. Then we drove our cars to the resort and arrived little after 4:00.

We all went in to use the restroom in the lobby area while Pop Pop checked in for us. I walked the kids around and showed them the store, gym, and the "Maze". The Maze is an indoor jungle gym at the resort. It was very popular with the kids this trip !

We all headed back to our cars and drove to our building.
Pop Pop and I unloaded the luggage and Grandma started her usual routine.

My mother is a bit crazed about cleaning...
I remember the long drive to Disney on our family vacations and stopping at many hotels/motels on the way until she found a room that met her expectations.

I do agree some hotels are gross...but we always stay at a really nice place.
It kills her that the kids are all over the carpet at the hotel.

Here are the rules:
Shoes or slippers must be worn at all times on the carpet.
Of course no sitting on the floor.
Towels are thrown over the chair she sits in. Heaven forbid her body make contact with anything other then the sheets!
She won't put her shampoo or soap in the shower. It must sit on a paper towel on the bathroom counter. Then my poor father has to go in when she calls to hand it to her !

Armed with her lysol spray and wipes my mom did her usual disinfecting of our rooms. While she cleaned I tried to unpack a few things. Dave, UJ & Jon showed up and hung out while this is all going on.

This is when I realized I left the goody bags I made for the kids at home! Oh well! Thank goodness my parents brought some crayons & coloring books! Something to keep the little ones busy!

After the disinfecting...it was getting close to dinner time.
My parents & I ran to Costco to pick up some things for the week. Milk, muffins, juice the usual.
While in Costco I ordered a pizza and we picked it up on the way back to the resort.

We all ate dinner around 6:30. Then Dave, UJ, & I took the kids down to the Maze at the resort.

The have a water cooler next to the Maze. Of course once the kids figured out how it worked we spent a good amount of time keeping them away from it!

After we left the Maze I showed UJ & Dave around. Pointed out the pool, bar, ice cream shop, store etc.
Here is my attempt to get a picture of them all!

We all went back to the room and Uncle Josh & Jon went back to their hotel. Then I gave the kids a bath of course the kids did not fall asleep until 10:30!

So much for getting a good nights sleep !
Too Bad we will be up early for rope drop at Epcot!!!

Oh no! Not a water cooler!! Those things drive me nuts. Anytime my little guys see one, we have the same battle as they're both suddenly sooo thirsty. Thankfully, just about everywhere we go has one, too!

Ha I was just trying to get caught up on your report!

Yes that darn cooler! They kept running over and filling up a cup. Of course take one sip...and try to dump the rest out. But of course the little spot that catches the water isn't meant for dumping full cups out .

Then they would run and play for another minute...and back to the cooler for another full cup! Fun times with two hard headed 2 year olds .

I hope you had a great Christmas too! We got Jessie, Woody & 2 Bullseyes now! Alex said santa will bring him Buzz for his birthday .
Emilie carries Jessie with her everywhere !

The Maze looks like a blast for the littles! And how is it that something simple like a water cooler is SO attractive to them???! Henry is just like that too!

Yes it is nice to get there so quickly...although it always seems so much longer. My hubby is trying to move up in his job and we would have to move. I told him we should move only closer to Orlando...not farther!!!

The Maze is what the kids like the most. Last year when we went I asked Emilie what was her favorite part of the trip. She told me swimming & the maze. No mention of Disney at all !
At least this year the answer was Disney related!

Day Two - 1st Disney Day!!
6:15 the kids were up & ready to go! So we ate our muffins & fruit while we waited for Uncle Josh & Jon.
They arrived and we left around 8:15 for Epcot.

Every one had tickets except UJ. He bought his ticket and we are ready to go!

We made it in time for rope drop & the character’s opening the park.

Our 1st Stop

Pop Pop, DH, & E got in line while I grabbed a FP for Soarin.

While we did Soarin…the rest of the group rode Nemo.

After we landed we all met up.

Now off to ride...

Ever notice how many people walk allll the way down the row to the tram when you can just walk straight up and be to the entrance in no time there?

Yay for the first day!! You found Nemo, too! My youngest thinks every orange fish is Nemo and every blue fish is Dori right now. I don't think we've managed to find the right ones yet. Great pics! Hope the kids last for you. It's already looking like a great day!

Yes...and at MK too. It's funny they all get out of the car get out the stroller, backpacks, diaperbags, etc. Strap the kids in to walk to the end...then unpack the stroller the kids & fold up the stroller.

I refuse to do that! It's such a pain with a stroller. We always park in the AAA lot so we are close and just walk. We have never parked far enough that we had to take the tram unless the kids want to.

Even at MK the AAA lot is with the handicap parking. So you just have to walk under the little bridge to the TTC it's not too far...a good warm up for all the walking that is ahead for the day !

Thats funny he thinks every orange fish is Nemo. Now my kids think every red car is Lighting McQueen and every truck is Mater! It makes driving interesting.
Have you all seen Mater's Tall Tales yet? Little man is watching it now. He highly recommends it .
