Okay, I got a ps for Cindy's Royal Table for 8:10:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: Yippee! Oh, wait, I am transfering hotels from Universal's Pacific Resort to POFQ that day! What did I do!!! Will I be able to check in to POFQ that early in order to make my ps? I could take a town car to POFQ to be safe, but what time would I need them to pick me up? It's my daughters b-day so I HAVE to do CRT that day or else!! lol Please help! :hyper: princess: :hyper:

You can check in that early, but you obviously will have to leave all your luggage at the bell desk since it's not likley any rooms will be ready. To make an 8:10 PS at MK, AFTER checking in, you'll need to be at POFQ no later than 7am, I'd think -- to give you enough time to check in, get your stuff pulled together, and hop a bus to MK. Which means a 6:15-ish pick-up at Universal.

We will be going on Sun. ( which is early entry). What time do you think the earliest bus will come? If I have a ps at 8:10, how early will the gate keepers at MK let me in? I want to avoid the crowds before I get there. Any advice?

Maybe someone else can say whether this will work or not, but what I would try to do... assuming you're using a car service for the transfer, is to have the car service take you by POFQ, drop off your luggage (maybe you can tell bell services you'll check in after breakfast - you could call ahead and ask about this) and then have the car service take you on to the CR and drop you there. Hop the monorail to MK. It will probably cost you about $10 extra. In 1999 on our first trip to WDW we stayed at POR and one morning got to the bus stop at 7:25A.M. Over the next 1/2 hour we saw 3 Epcot busses, two for DTD, two for AK and one for MGM. AND it was MK early opening day. The rest of the parks didn't even open until 9AM. That's why I always rent a car. I would hate to have a bus issue stress you out and possibly ruin the whole breakfast.

POFQ will not let you simply drop off luggage and then drive away, with a promise to "check in later." That's a security risk these days -- you could be dropping off anything in that suitcase, you know? You have to be registered for them to store your luggage.

However, you could certainly ask the towncar to wait for you while you check in and then drop you at the Contemporary to take the express monorail to MK. Or, they could drop you right at Guest Dropoff at MK -- that works too.

You will run into crowds -- that's just normal on a Sunday at MK. No way around that, sorry! But you'll be able to get into MK pretty much whenever you show up. They may hold you at the gate a bit if you're insanely early, but if you have an 8:10 PS, you can get into the park at 7:40-ish and have plenty of time to get there.

Do you already have your park tickets or were you going to get them at POFQ? You should allow about 45 minutes to one hour go from POFQ to the MK entrance if you are going by bus. The reason is that the bus may not be there when you are ready to go and it may make more than one stop in the area. The ride itself is only about 20 minutes but you may not be able to just get on a bus and go. You may have to wait for it to get there.

If you have your tickets just have the car service drop you off at the POFQ lobby and put your bags in storage after you check in (count on 10 minutes to register) until you get back, then have the car drive you to the MK entrance. If you need to buy your tickets then check in at the Hotel and purchase the tickets there and then have the car service take you to MK. Once at the MK entrance, they will have your name as a PS guest and will let you in as soon as you get there, even if the park is not yet open for guests. Make sure you have your PS number. Try to get the car service to take you to MK, it will only take about 15 minutes for them to drive you to the transportation center from POFQ and then it will take you another 10 to 15 minutes to get to the MK Park entrance. Also count on another 5 minutes to walk up Main Street to the castle. All in all if everything works right you could get from POFQ to be at the Castle in 35 minutes using the car service. If you use the bus it will be about the same but could be longer due to stops and waits for the bus, so count on 45 to one hour. Take the car service and you will not be late.

We just did CRT with a 8:10 ps on 11/1. We stayed off site, and left our house at about 7:15. We were standing at the gates of MK at 7:40, but they made us stand in a very long line of people going in for breakfasts. They did not open the gate until 8, and it was after 8:10 by the time we actually got thru and up to the castle. Luckily, we got seated immediately in a mostly empty restaurant and had a wonderful experience from that point on.

lkc, was it on an early entry day? That would be terrible to have to fight through all the crowds of people just there to get in for the park pluse people there for breakfasts I was hopeing to get in early for the wonderful photo opps you get when the park is so emty. Last time we did this we got pictures of mickey and minney with the kids in front of the castle. (am I starting to looked stressed) Maybe if I get to POFQ at 6: 00 am I would be safe! lol asleep but safe!
