Oh no, I did something really stupid today...

My brother once had a water pipe break while he was visiting us, nabor called he had water running out front door.

he used thousand of gallons I guess, he called the water co. and they only charged him for the water not the suige since the water did not go into the system aparently it saved him about 1/2 the bill

We accidentally left our's on one time, and ended up with water in our basement. Not the whole basement, just one end of it. We have well-water, but the pump would have been running the whole time.
Hey @ols386 I recently had similar issue, i left the hose running for almost 24 hours. The base is leaking a bit but not much. I just wonder if you can tell me a bit more about your experience. I really hope the leaking is just from the excess amount of water, and no work need to be done to the foundation!

This thread is 8 years old so...

If it’s a thread/topic I find interesting, I’ll respond no matter how old it is. It’s either new to me or the intervening years have given me a reason to add my 2 cents. I think the folks who freak out at old threads being revived are the ones with the problem.

For the most part, we're just giving a head's up
1) to the poster who revived the zombie that it may be possible that person is no longer participating (if they ask a question)
2)that some information on the thread may no longer be relevant.

You'd be surprised (or maybe not), when an old thread pops back up, at the number of people who read it and think the information therein is current and correct.
