EDITED TO ADD: Oops, I don't know how to change my poll. But the total for 4 nights at WL with dining and 4 nights at Poly is $2047.

We currently have a great package at WL woods view using an email code. We were able to get WL woods view at 137 per night, then we added dining and 1 day MYW passes. Our total for the 6 night package is 1577, then we are doing a continuing 2 night room only ressie for a total of 306. Total of 1883.

Well SOG overflow rates are finally out for our dates (5/22-5/30), and I got Poly GV for $214 per night! Total of 1908 for 8 nights.

We are traveling with my in-laws so I'm not even sure I can convince them to switch, but I wanted to decide myself before asking them. They are staying 6 nights on the package, so their total would be 1577 at WL with dining or 1432 at Poly without dining.

I've always wanted to stay at Poly, plus I'd rather be on the monorail (we usually stay at CR). There are 4 adults and 2 children (DS - 3, nephew - 5).

But 8 nights at WL woods view with 6 nights of dining costs less than the 8 nights at Poly without dining!

Help me decide!

at the Poly...
Then stay there. Sounds like a great rate for that resort. Maybe a rate like that will come along on a future trip, maybe not...

We love the WL. We are trying out the Poly next trip (just to see if it's as good as or better than the WL for us).

Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with those choices! :flower:

I obviously (from my signature) like the idea of a split stay. You get to "taste" the Poly without breaking your budget. Plus it will be a treat at the end of your trip.

I also voted for the split. I haven't stayed at the Poly, but I've been there to eat, and though I do think it's neat, I think the Wilderness Lodge is so much nicer. (I HAVE stayed there.) But I too like to get a little taste of different places, so I say 6 at WL, 2 at Poly! :)

Hi J! Wow, those are great rates whichever you choose (since we have a history of tagging along on boat rides, can we come too?!? :earboy2: ). I chose the 6/2 split. I too have the dream of the Poly (maybe this December), but the deal for WL seems too fantastic to pass up, esp. with the dining option. This way, you at least get a taste of the Poly. I like splitting stays myself anyway plus we just experienced the WL a couple weeks ago and LOVED it!

Have a great time!

I have to go with the Poly for the entire time! Love the Poly... so relaxed, laid back, beautiful, romantic and convenient. Also, the rooms are nice and big.

Also, although we like to eat, the dining plan seems to have you running from meal to meal, which can get to you after the 1st few days.

I voted the 4/4 split. If you do your dining carefully, it can last throughout your first day at the Poly since it expires at midnight. Then, you only pay for 3 days of food.

Been to both and prefer the poly, as to split stays, did one once and that was enough. Too much packing and monkeying around in the middle of your fun. Stay the whole trip at the poly, you'll never regret it. But the Lodge ia nice also. Its more about the monorail convenience that we go to the poly but some years we go to the Lodge for the price. Both have their points!!

UPDATE on what I chose:

We picked......................POLY for 8 nights!!! I'm shocked that my in-laws agreed, but I'm so happy! I'm pretty bummed about giving up the dining plan, but now we'll get DDE (already have APs) and hopefully that will help. Now we have to figure out if we can do Magical Express Transportation back to the airport since our ressie is through SOG!
