I am more seriously than ever considering buying into the DVC. I have been reading several post's and still have a few more questions. I am sure I could call the 800 number, but I was hoping to get some answers from some of you instead. (May sound corny, but I don't want to feel pressured at all ~ and I want to hear it from someone who is not trying to make commission.)
1. Does anyone have any idea of the income/credit requirements for financing? That question may be better suited for the 800 # I know. Just thought I would try that one too. (I only ask about the income due to that fact that while my DH works for a wonderful company I am self employed and some places frown on that...which is sort of why I also asked about the credit requirements. A few months back we refinanced our home...since I am self employed I decided to use Lendingtree.com to have all those companies fighting over me. Well that part worked...and we got a pretty good deal out of it, but I didn't realize that my credit was going to be pulled by each and every one of the companies. Within a 3 week period of time our credit was pulled over 48 times. Just imagine what that can do to your credit score. I did call the 3 major reporting agencies and only inquires made within the same 48 hour period were linked together. Not much I could do after the fact.) "Sorry for the rambling!"
2. Your personal opinion...buy direct from Disney or through resale ie: The Timeshare Store?
3. I know that there are fee's depending on which home resort your have, and how many points you get...Is there a link anywhere to find out about the fee's and what the going monthly/annual rates are? Or can anyone give me an idea of what 100 pts. @ OKW might run me?
4. I am not to picking about my home resort...but we do have kids (ages 6 & 12). I know this is Disney and all but is there any resort that is just better over all for kids. Or one that is less kid friendly than others?
5. I am thinking that I can buy a SP at a discounted price? Is that correct? If so does any one have an idea of how big the discount is?
6. Last one...Can you add on the dining package when making ressie?
