DH and I have been saving EVERY penny we've had for our first DL trip next April, and we've been GREAT at it! We've avoided all temptations to spend $$ on anything that we don't absolutely need.

BUT, I'm a HUGE Broadway musical fan (and, I've even gotten DH in to them, too). The last few seasons in Dallas have kind-of stunk, so I didn't have to worry about buying tickets. They released next year's schedule today and I'm going to be in deep trouble!!

The shows include:

Tarzan
Rent
Fiddler on the Roof
Happy Days
Wizard of Oz
A Chorus Line
Legally Blonde
Mary Poppins
101 Dalmations

Why, why does that schedule have to be so perfect!! I need fast reasons why I need to put our extra $$ to DL instead of buying season tickets! :confused3

- Tried to help but realized I would be buying those theatre tickets so fast that I have no aid to offer. -

 :wizard:

would it be reasonable to see only 1 or 2 shows? i know, the list seems perfect to me, too. DH and i used to see a lot of shows until we had dd1. maybe you can go to a show that is after a few months after your april trip so that you have some time to save money after you guys get back from DL...

good luck!

OoOooOHH!! I'm a huge broadway fan too and I didn't know 101 Dalmations was going broadway!!! Man! That would be a neat one to see!!! lol, I'm not helping huh!?

Just keep saving!!! After your trip if there's extra go see a play!! :)

It all depends on where you had planned on staying, where you planned to eat and how long you intended to go for. If you could cut back on any of those, then maybe you would be able to go and see a few shows when you get back.
Or you could tell family that for any gifts they want to give(birthday, anniversary etc) they can either get ticket(s) for the theatre, or money would always be appreciated.

I am definitely planning on asking for tickets to individual shows for gifts. Season tickets add up to the same price if we bought tickets separately. It'd just be easier to pay for everything up-front, but we can definitely wait and see what happens show-to-show.

I'm just still so excited about that schedule!!!!

Since you live in Dallas, I'm sure there are smaller theaters that do somw of these productions (Rent/ Fiddler) But I would't miss any of the Disney productions as they are always steller- Kion King was AMAZING! Hope that helps. I know how the kins in the Disney budget feels. We had a tree break and needed to be chopped down, hauled away and stump grounded- $1,200!
We leave in 54 days!! :scared1:
