Ok, I'm ready to throw in the sneakers....I finished a half marathon on Saturday and did horrible! My body just wasn't cooperating, infact I did so lousy a 80 yr. old woman, pushing a oxygen tank, passed me!
I swear I couldn't believe it. She was pushing her tank in a baby stroller and I was running to try and catch up with her, but never made it. Seriously, you guys should kick me off the W.I.S.H. team!

(Much like the old guy pushing the walker who came within steps of beating me and my mom at the Donald half...
)
Been there, done that! At my very first half at WDW, I didn't do as well as I should have, could have, but I managed to finish in the awful heat and humidity...with some time to spare. My body ached, my feet had 4 big blisters...I was a mess. Later that evenining Steve (DH) looked at the results and, while laughing, told me that a 75 year old lady beat me by 15 minutes. I remembered a guy with crutches passing me but I didn't remember her.
I got my revenge, though. I took a racewalking class a few weeks ago and although I was slow at it, I did beat the 93 yr old in the class.

This past Sunday I ran a 10 mile race and I was third to the last person to finish, and like you I was ready to throw in the towel.
