OH MY! Went home for lunch and....

MY DOCS WERE WAITING FOR ME!!! Funny thing is, I called my TA last week and she told me not to expect them until 2-3 weeks before the cruise, and I only went home for lunch because my husband called me from work because he forgot his house keys!!

WOOHOO! I am in Cabin 6554, seems to be midship. Anyone ever in that one..???

Now i know what you guys mean when you say "got my docs, seems much more real"!!! And we arent leaving until Dec 26th on the Wonder, and flying out of Boston Christmas Day!

Sherry, I'm so glad you got your docs - ours should be here any day then! We're also leaving Christmas day, but from Providence. Planning on just staying at the Hyatt right in the airport and then grabbing the buses to the port on Thurs. It will be here before we know it.

We got a good rate at the Marriott(?) Renaissance at the Orlando Airport through Priceline, so we are staying there..

Are you going to WDW after at all? We are then staying three nights at the Dolphin and coming home New Years Day.

Do you have any children?

Our flight back is on the 30th (mid-day, I think). Unfortunately, that only leaves us with 1 day to go to WDW. It's going to be soooo crowded on that day. Trying to talk my girls (8, 9) into doing any park other than MK. We've never been to WDW on Christmas vacation, we've stayed away due to horror stories about crowds. Does anyone have any suggestions?

We were two decks above your cabin in 8554 back in August 2000. Midships is a nice location (although I would take any cabin on a Disney ship given the chance to cruise). Very convenient to both entertainment and food.

When we returned from our most recent cruise, we hurried through customs in order to get on the first bus back to the airport. We checked our bags, rented a car, and headed over to Epcot. We got there just prior to the World Showcase opening at 10AM. Sue and I spent a little under 4 hours at WDW before we had to head back to the airport. This was one time that I wished that we had a later flight back home.

I am willing to bet that you will have a great time at MK despite the crowds. Just make sure that you have a "must do" list and get those things out of the way. Then you can spend the rest of your time enjoying the sights and sounds of Christmas at the Magic Kingdom.

Our docs are here! FedEx came yesterday and we weren't home, said they'd come after 3:00 today. Rushed home at 2:55 and the note was already on the front door!!! Neighbor tried to sign but they wouldn't release them to her! I jumped back in the car and chased the truck around the neighborhood and practically assaulted the driver, but we got 'em!!! YAY!

There doesn't seem to be too much activity for the 26th on this board - maybe it's not full????

From what i had been told when trying to book, it is COMPLETELY Full. I tried calling around back in september, when we decided to go away, and then i called a week later and some TAs told me they couldnt get anything for that cruise. I only got my ressie because i booked some nights at the dolphin, that is what they told me anyways...And i feel like i paid wayyyy through the nose, but it is the only time for the next year we could get away..

Anyways, glad you got your docs!!

Believe it or not we r on the Wait list for the new years sailing on the wonder , jen said that she would love to cruise over new years some time so i thought it would make great xmas present..

I tried to get the New Years Eve cruise first, but couldnt get anything confirmed, so took the 3day, and got a CAT 6 guarantee, couldnt even get a room (but have it now since we just got our docs) and spending three nights at the dolphin through New Year's Day..

Yes, I have two children, a daughter who turns 5 tomorrow (11/22), and a son who will be 1-year December 7th, although i am not sure my son is coming with us. We have had a couple of family members offer to take him, but i am not sure i want to leave him for a week (HUBBY says YES YES YES!!)..HAHA

Have you tried getting the 3day wonder leaving on the 26th and then a couple of nights at WDW..I am sure you will be waitlisted, but at least another option...
