After our resort loop on the monorail we hopped on the bus back to POR. We had an 8:10 ADR at WCC so we had lots of time to just relax. We decided to head over to the dock at POR and rent a Sea Raycer. We had a coupon for 90 minutes for the price of 60, so we went for it. The CM at the dock gave us a little map and said that would be plenty of time to get to OKW, DTD, and SS before we had to be back. We headed to the boats, got our life jackets (required for all people) and got in the little raycer. They're not big!! DH is 6'1" and couldn't stretch out his legs. I'm only 5'3" so I had plenty of leg room!!! We headed out at 2:45 so we had until 4:15.
Here we are as we were heading out from the dock.
We pulled out from POR and first headed through POR to the FQ.
After FQ we kept heading up (or was it down?) the river past the old Treehouse Villas (man those things look like they're in rough shape)
and onto to OKW. This was a neat resort for us to see because we had just spent 4 days in Key West. It was cool to see how well themed it was with the little marina (looks like a little mini version of the real thing), the gingerbread architecture, and the light house.
After our spin through OKW we headed back out onto the open waters and over to DTD. There weren't a lot of boats out this day...not sure if it was because it was earlier in the day so people were still at the parks or what. We saw a couple pontoon boats that people had rented, 2 or 3 resort boats, and the lifeguard boat.
Here's some shots from DTD. It looks so much bigger and spread out from the water!!

and Fulton's, formerly the Empress Lily, home of my very first character breakfast close to 21 years ago!!
Our tour of DTD complete, we headed back up (or down?) the river to POR. I thought the dock area was really cool.
It took us an hour and 15 minutes to make the entire loop. We took our time looking around OKW and DTD, so you could probably do it in just under an hour if you kept moving the whole time. It was a fun way to spend some time doing something different. It cost us $40 (that's the price for 60 min) and we were able to charge it to our room.
After we docked back at POR we were hot and thirsty so we walked over to Ol Man Island to check out the scene. It was CROWDED!!! We decided to just grab a couple of cocktails at Muddy Rivers and head back to the quiet pool at our building. I had some sort of frozen coffee flavored concoction that like $9...it was pretty good, but filling, which worked out fine since we still had 4 hours until dinner. DH had a Bud. On the way back to our building DH decided that it would be wise to go get a $12 six pack of Bud in the gift shop...that's $2/can...he had just paid $4.75 for one...you do the math!! So, I plopped myself down in a chair while he went back to get beer. He dropped 4 off in the fridge, put 2 in the ice bucket and joined me at the pool.
Around 5 we went back up to the room to shower quickly and get the bus back to MK, there were a few more things we wanted to try to see before we went to WL for dinner. We got the bus at 5:30 (again with little to no wait), and we were on our way. We had decided that it was time for another spin on Buzz so we headed to tomorrowland. There was a show just about to start at the Laugh Floor Comedy Club so we did that first. It was SO COOL! What a concept! Our show was pretty funny, and it should definitely be a must do on every trip because every show will be different!
After our laughs we went over to Buzz and it was a walk on. I again talked a lot of smack and got beat! Since there was no wait we went on again, this time I WON!!!
DH couldn't end it on a losing note so we went AGAIN...and I beat him AGAIN! This time our scores were even higher, but we didn't get a pic. That meant he had beat me twice and I had beat him twice. We wanted to have time to look around and have a cocktail before dinner, so we decided to head back out of the park and catch the boat to WL. We completely forgot to use our FPs for Splash and Pooh that we had gotten earlier in the day!!
There was a boat pulling up just as we got to the dock so it was perfect. I had never been to WL so I was excited to see it, and it lived up to the hype. We LOVED LOVED LOVED it. DH asked why we weren't staying there, and I said that it wasn't in the budget this time, but that next time I would certainly look in to it! He didn't flinch when I said next time, so we'll see!! Here are a couple pics from WL
Dh by the GINORMOUS fireplace
We explored the lobby a bit and still had about 30 minutes until our ADR, so we headed over to Territory Lounge for a pre-dinner cocktail. I had a pear margarita and DH had one of their local beers. Both were good, not cheap, but we expected that. We sat for a few and then took our drinks out to the lobby and I went and checked us in for our dinner (I think it was about 7:55). I got our buzzer and went back to sit with DH and enjoy our cocktails. This was the first buzzer we had all week
Why is he so confused??!!
We only had to wait about 10 minutes, which meant we were seated at 8:05 for our 8:10 ADR. We were seated in the little area off the main dining room, right near the door to the kitchen. It actually worked out great...we had this nice little fireplace next to us
a great server (she was from CT, too!) and we could still see what was going on in the main dining room, but we weren't in the middle of it all. Our server started off by asking me if I wanted the margarita of the day...it was cranberry, I said "Yum, yes please" and this is what I got -
That's a LOT of margarita...but it was fab!!
We really enjoyed our dinner here. I had the skillet, which included the salad appetizer, and LOVED it. I don't eat sausage so DH had that part of it and said it was really good. I can't remember which desserts we had, but they were both good. DH had the wings (YUM YUM) and the strip steak (just eh).
After we ate (and ate and ate) we rolled ourselves out to the busses and grabbed one for DTD/PI. It came right away!! We took it to PI and got off and headed to the POR stop. This was the only night we had to wait for a bus...I think we waited 20 minutes...not horrible, but not fun. The other people at the stop were NOT happy and I kind of got from their conversations that they had been there for about 15 minutes before we showed up.
After that we had an uneventful ride back to POR and crashed.
