My granddaughter Kyleigh (10) needs prayers and pixie dust. Her mom ( my daughter) died 4/29/06 from a brain aneurysm. Her dad - who had no custody and only supervised visitation - took her 5 hours after we buried my dd. Well...Kyleighs dad died from a drug overdose on 2/14/07. TWO PARENTS IN LESS THAN ONE YEAR. I've tried calling her, e-mailing her. No response. I am totally flipping out. I feel so bad for her. I want her here in my arms right now.

Kyleigh lives about 15 miles away from here. She lives with her dad and his mom. I just finished a court battle for visitation. I don't know where she is right now. I found out about it in the paper. I am totally freaking out!

My neighbors across the street lost their father and then lost their mother exactly one week later (the "kids" were a bit older- 22 and 24, but I don't think that makes it any easier). Your granddaughter must be goig through some really tough times right now. At least you care, though, and are there for her if she needs you. Good luck to you both.
