I was just on the Disney site pricing the free dining plan for a possible upgrade to a moderate and it looks like many of the resorts are sold out during the time...

We currently have POP reserved and nothing was available in the following resorts. Of course this is just with the free dining....They maybe other rooms available without the free dining.
-Pop
-ASMOvies
-POR
-POFQ
-WL

Do you think it's going to be crowded now that they are offering this deal?

I think it might be somewhat busier than previous years. If you check online, most of the resorts you mentioned have availability at rack rates, so those resorts probably had very limited availablility for the free dining offer.

It also might be that they are sold out for the specific range of dates you want. If you can be flexible, even by as little as one day on each end, you may find there are some packages available.

Good luck!

Bob

When I was working on making a reservation about 10 days ago the only one I was not finding easily was POR. Even CSR had rooms when I called. This is for the free dining deal, last weekend in Sept./early Oct.

On WDW Online, where can you find the dining option vs rack rate option? Im confused it isn't giving me those choices.....

I would call because I just got off the phone with a CM and put a courtesy hold on a room for POR for Sept 28 thru Oct 4 and I will be canceling that to do the Poly....I think the website can be wrong sometimes however I do know POFQ AND WL and POP are sold out from my TA

I confirmed my reservation at POR last Friday for Oct 3 to Oct 13 - I had no issue! I'm pretty happy that we found this deal...this is awesome!

We were deciding which resort to stay at...POP or ASMo. We don't have to worry about it now because both are sold out for our dates! (9/30-10/3)

We have reservations for 10/1 to 10/10 at POR with the dining plan. When I called about a week and a half ago to ask if I could switch to the package with the free dining plan the CM told me that it was only available at the value resorts. I think she had the wrong information from what I am reading here.

I'm really confused with what I'm reading here- I thought you could book a room, with tickets and automatically could get the dining plan (either paying for it- or free during the free dining time frame). Are you saying they only allow a certain amount of people/rooms to get the free dining plan?? It's not a FOR EVERYONE type of deal if you have booked a room and tickets (ie: package)???

I'm asking because I was looking into another shorter trip the end of Sept-Oct 3rd because I looked and the kids are out of school for a "break" over that weekend with a few days off from school right during that time. When I tried to book online it had availability everywhere I tried (pop, POR, AKL) but when I added the dining plan it charged for it... how do you get it free when booking online?

The last week of Sept and the first week in Oct schools in most Ky counties where they have year around school are out for a Fall Break. :cool1:

We have been the past 3 years and cant wait to go back this year. So see you there

I believe you can make reservations for free dining online. It just takes some searching. Go to the Disney website and in search box type in ' free dining plan with stay'. That should give you a list of choices and it should be #3. I hope this helps. But you could always call direct to be sure. Have a great day all! :)

Yep the free dining is available on line... You have to look for the box that states the deal and click on that.... Then it will bring up the details and ask you if you want to book this deal?

Thanks for the info... I'll try to find the way to book it online. :)

Um, something is wrong here. I did what you said- did a search for free dining plan and found the way to book it through that. The booking at the SAME resort (AKL savannah bunkbed room) with the same tickets (1 day tickets for all of us) is coming up way higher than when I tried booking the regular way through disney.com without the dining plan chosen.

For instance- the way I was doing it -it was coming up $2192.52 but not adding the dining plan because that put it at $2817.52

I tried it through where you showed me how to go through with free dining- and the total showed up $2721.81 but it says concierge! I didn't ask for concierge- I want the free dining plan though. It says free dining plan. This is weird... It won't let me choose anything but the choice it gave me- concierge. Do you have to go concierge to get the free dining plan with disney.com online? ugh

I 'm not sure what is wrong. What are your dates for your trip? How many adults and children(ages?) are in your party? I think they are only allowing a certain number on free dining at each resort for each dates. Maybe the dates you are looking at there is only concierge level left for free dining. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

I agree. With only a few more days remaining within the window to book this special offer, I would imagine that a lot of the resort options are indeed 'sold out'. There were limited numbers of rooms available with this special code. Once those are filled, then that's it.

If you want to double check availability, just call Disney by phone and have a CM check the resort(s) you prefer for potential availability for your dates. TA's can also do this for you. You do not have to book via an online program. :earsboy:

yep, they probably only have concierge rooms left with the free dining pkg...I know when I checked AKL it was high for that reason too...WL is out as well...I think they have some at Poly and CR, seeing as though I just cancellled mine from there...and POR I have one on courtesy that I am taking off today for Sept 28 thru Oct 4...HTH

I talked to Martin at CRO on Friday. He said that they always keep a more limited block of rooms available for online booking, and that if you can't get it online to try calling CRO. They usually have something.
