I haven't totally followed this whole thread. I have to ask what kool-aid and Scientology have in common? :confused3

I think you guys should open the The Dis PI You guys are good! There's more info on here than all the magazines I keep buying. Maybe you all should put together a book entitled "Does baby Suri really exist?" and then put "To be continued sometime in the fall, well maybe!" I bet it would be a best seller! :teeth: A suspense novel maybe. :lmao:

Cathryn's Random Thoughts

Okay - I went pee (apparently I come up with amazing conspiracy theories will I pee) and I thought of something...

You know how Scientology wants to "recruit" important people? Well remember Princess Diana was becoming buddy-buddy with John Travolta.

THEN - I recall - I was a waitress when Diana died, and all of us were gathered in the bar watching MSNBC. Various people called.... with accounts of what was going on. Witnesses, people on the street, etc etc...then a phone call comes in . It's Tom Cruise. I remember distinctly thinking THEN, who in the heck does he think he is??? He goes on a tangent "Ive been on that EXACT street and been chased by the Paparazzi as well. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!!!" he was allllll riled up. And again, Im thinking "Why is Tom Cruise on the line??" :confused3

Flashforward to me, peeing. What if Diana was an attempted recruit? Although sad - why did Tom Cruise call MSNBC? Why does he have their number?!?!?

Whole thing = odd.

what's with the countdown? I saw it on another thread. I'm curious! I want a countdown, too! :teeth:

A few of the posters have a Suri countdown (or count up?) that shows how long it has been that there have been no pictures. You have to make your own, maybe check some of the posters that made one and see what web-site they got them from.

I can see it now, we'll all start taking laptops into the potty with us just in case we come up with something! This whole Suri thing is taking over my life! I can't wait to get to the store today to see what all the gossip mags are saying (all the new ones come out in my store today!). I have 2 final projects due for school and I keep checking this thread and I am NOT getting my work done!

OK, did we miss something? I know this was from a tabloid but....

In fact, in the months since Suri's birth, the Holmeses had just one visit with their grandchild in L.A

So they have seen her?

Alright - who lives in Toledo, or at least the closest?

We're gonna need you to stop my the Holme's house and find out the scoop.

Thanks.

Okay, found this and it states that Jada Pinkett Smith is the 1st NON Scientologist

http://www.salon.com/ent/col/fix/2006/07/27/thu/index_np.html?source=rss

so who really knows? I bet she is though, she just seems like she'd be one. I'm really starting to worry about Oprah, I would hope that she'd have more sense than that.

This reminds me of one of DS Goosebumps videos, Welcome to the House of Dead" or something like that where the whole town is a bunch of zombies but you don't realize it at first, then they start coming out of the woodwork.

In the article from OK or the Star where Katie was at the party but spoke with no one other than other Scientologist. This reminds me of Elizabeth Smart, she was afraid to speak to anyone and started to sort of trust her kidnapper.

I grew up in Toledo, but I try to stay far away from there as possible. I have family that live there. ;)

It is really convenient that they would annouce that Suri's photos would be published in the fall. Just as suspected on this thread, Mission Impossible 3 is set for release on October 31, 2006. How convenient for TommyBoy!

Did not know this - good point.

He's such a jerk. ..... allegedly.

LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- One of the most elusive figures in Hollywood since the heyday of Howard Hughes may be about to make her debut.

The New York Post reported on Wednesday that Vanity Fair magazine has landed the first photos of Suri Cruise, the baby born to actor Tom Cruise and actress Katie Holmes last April 18 and who has never been seen by the public, although family friend Penelope Cruz says she is "beautiful."

The Post said the pictures were taken by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz and will be published this fall.

A spokeswoman for Vanity Fair had no comment and a spokesman for Leibovitz's studio said, "We know nothing about this. The studio is closed for August." A spokesman for Cruise was not immediately available for comment.

Few recent celebrity subjects have produced as much table-thumping tabloid copy as questions about the existence and well-being of baby Suri.

Suri was born after months of nonstop publicity generated by Cruise and his new lady love including an appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" by the actor in which he declared his love for Holmes by jumping over a couch.

Cruise proposed to Holmes at the Eiffel Tower last year and announced the engagement at a press conference. Before the baby was born, the press was filled with stories about the Scientology method of silent birth. Both Cruise and Holmes are adherents of Scientology.

But after the baby was born, Tom and Katie, or TomKat as they are referred to, disappeared from public view, leading to a tabloid outcry as to why the child was not being seen.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt allowed photographs of their daughter, Shiloh, to be taken a mere seven days after her birth and donated the multimillion-dollar fee to charity.

The weekly Star went so far as to publish a made-up composite photograph of Suri Cruise last month and Life&Style countered with a composite drawing, calling the child, "the most famous missing baby on the planet."

As the New York Times in July noted in a 1,900-word article on the issue, "The drawing appeared on a poster stamped with one word:, 'Wanted.' "

One serious debate in the magazine industry is just how much a photo of Suri Cruise could fetch. People Magazine was reported to have paid $4 million for photos of the Jolie-Pitt baby although the magazine's editor denied that was an accurate figure.

Give this girl some water, :drinking1 We need more pee theories :teeth:

Ok, since CathrynRose admits to coming up with theories while she pees, I can admit that I do my best thinking in the shower. I was going over theories while shampooing my hair this morning and I was thinking about the possibility that the baby is a bit older than we are supposed to think. While I agree that all the other theories are possible - heck, anything is possible - I do think this one makes the most sense. I remember reading that her parents were visiting for a couple of weeks and then left. A month or two later, Suri was alledgedly born and they haven't seen her. So. . . I am wondering if they did see their grandaughter right after birth, a couple months earlier, and haven't been allowed back.

Did that make any sense? :confused3

Hmmm, maybe that's what we'll morph into when the Challenge is over. We had wondered a while back what to do with this thread when A baby is finally presented. :Pinkbounc

Ah yes! The Holmeses left LA before the baby was "born". Yet they have "seen" her. So what they may have seen was the baby born early that doesn't belong to TC. Going along with the theory that KH was already pregnant at the time of their first date/love proclamation/engagement.

What I think is ODD about all this is Katie Holmes not wanting her family or even Mom around 24/7 AFTER she has had HER FIRST BABY. :confused3

How many have had kids and it seems right after we have our first born, we are both OVERWHELMED but THRILLED all at once and we want our Mom's there BIG TIME.

This behavior of Katie's, barely having little or nothing to do with her parents after the birth of her first born baby DAUGHTER strikes me as ODD. Almost like she has been "brainwashed" against Mom and Dad.

What I saw/read of Katie Holmes (pre-TOM) was that she was a loving, sweetie, who was VERRRRRY CLOSSSEEE to her parents in Toledo. She made her movies, starred in her TV Show and kept a low-profile.

It just does NOT add up, this recent behavior pre-Suri or post-Suri... :confused3

I checked to see if Jada Pinkett Smith was a Scientologist when I first heard she had seen the elusive Suri, and found this info, dated June 14, 2005:

The Details profile also smoothly reveals a few of the people Cruise has personally converted to his faith -- Collateral co-star Jada Pinkett Smith, "who now home-schools her kids with [Scientology founder L. Ron] Hubbard's Study Technology," and Cruise's mother, formerly a devout Catholic who became a Scientologist two years ago. It makes you wonder whether everyone who's part of Team Cruise in any capacity -- up to and including the post of Mom -- must at least display some openness to the faith if they're going to stay in the organization.

So I guess she's changing her story to cover for Mr. Cruise?
