P.S There is something that I've always wanted to do to spread a little Magic and I was wondering if I could do this for Megan. I've always wanted to send a post card to someone arriving soon to Disney signed from Mickey Mouse. Is that something you'd be ok with me doing? Do you think Megan would like it?

And what tradition might that be you say?!?!?!?! The traditional listing of the "Oh MY GOD OCD Packing List!!!!!!" Yes, we are actually THAT close to our departure date to start talking about PACKING!!!! You KNOW that is one of my favorite parts!!! We are at 13 days and counting as of today, and with each day that comes off our countdown, Megan, Tom, and I all get THAT much more excited. To tell you how bad our excitement is actually getting, Tom sent me a text message last Friday that merely said, "Vacationitis has officially set in!" I can't tell you how many times during the 4th of July weekend we all wanted to just hop in the "family truckster" and head SOUTH....to WDW of course!!!! Our self-control has been impressive!!!

To help curb the impulse to just leave, I have been trying to throw myself into trip preparations. Yesterday, I made a Target run to pick up the travel toiletries that we will need....but I am sure I have forgotten something!

So here we go....the LIST!!!

What I need for the car:
--Atlas (place in pocket of door)
--GPS
--IPOD and speakers (batteries/power cord)
--Collapsible cooler w/ice pack and bottled drinks (water, and soft drinks for Tom).
--Snacks for the Car: Disney fruit snacks, gum, candy, snacks like crackers, Pop Tarts, Granola bars, etc.) PUT ALL SNACKS/FOOD IN MEDIUM SIZE RUBBERMAID CONTAINER
--Plastic shoebox for Megan to use when eating in the car
--Small car sized box of tissues--place in purse storage
--Small pack of wipes--place in purse storage
--Small package of Disney napkins--place in glove compartment
--Extra plastic spoons and forks in ziploc bag--place in glove compartment
--DVD Player w/accessories and headphones--store accessories in media storage
--Megan's Movies and our DVDs--put in black storage box
--SUDOKU, logic puzzle books, and reading books for me (store in door pocket)

Okay......I think that just about does it! Look through and let me know if you see anything that I might be missing!!! It is going to be very different packing this year since we have the laundry right in our unit. I can already see that I am wanting to halve amounts of particular items since I can just do wash whenever I want. We have several nice pieces of luggage now that are more in the mid-size range. I think I will pack Megan's in our smallest rolling suitcase, then pack my stuff and Tom's stuff in our own individual mid-size rolling suitcases. Then I can pack all the toiletry items in our large toiletry duffle. The snacks and food will be packed in medium-sized rubbermaid containers.

So a packing I must go!!!!

On top of the trip planning madness, we are also having new hardwood installed in our kitchen, new carpet installed in our main living areas, and our front landscape redone as the final renovations that we want to do before putting the house on the market. All the installation will be taking place between tomorrow and next Tuesday. We also have a bridal shower, a wedding, and my grandmother's birthday party to take care of this weekend. Then next week, I also need to start work on my classroom in hopes to get it mostly set up before our trip so I don't have too much to do when we return before school starts! Can we say BUSY?!?!?!?!!?

And I guess my I don't have questionS, just that one. My other thing was a comment in reference for your new trip scent. Do you like fruity smells? If so I HIGHLY recommend b&bw new scent called Fiji Passionfruit. I lovey it! But, if you're not a fruity girl, then I liked Country Chic.

I normally pack in our guest bedroom, but today, that became overwhelmed with the kitchen furniture as I made room for the new flooring that will be installed tomorrow. I think I am going to have to set my packing station up down in the lower level on the ping pong table for now! Target is an addiction for me....LOVE that store!

I usually get my body glide at Road Runner Sports online, I like the little packets they sell. They fit in park bags quite nicely.

Edited: Apparently they don't have the packets but they have little trial size tubs of it in a 3 pack so that would probably work. I just buy the regular one, I never bought the bodyglide for her version.

Hey, it's never too late for another ADR, now is it!??!?!?!

Yesterday, I booked the Wishes Dessert Party for all 6 of us on Thursday night--the 28th.
Endless desserts, GREAT viewing spot for Wishes.....does it get any better than that?!?!?! We are all so excited!!!! I think this decision is going to lead us down another road though...I really think we will end up buying Park Hoppers. Tom is about 99% sold on doing this...I really don't care...and Allen and Nicole used them on their last trip. So what do YOU think we will end up doing?!?!?!

I so want to try a wishes dessert party! We love park hoppers. We only had 1 park day this trip and we did Magic Kingdom in the morning/early afternoon then back to the hotel and EPCOT at night. It was wonderful!

Yay for the dessert party!! I thought the tiramisu there was the best I've found on property, the key lime tarts are also excellent

I've done trips with hoppers and without. They are convenient but not necessary in my opinion but I'm guessing you end up with them
