Oh my we have ice covering everything here, tree limbs are snapping, DH is getting both fire places ready just in case we lose power Disney World next week is looking really good.

Oh my goodness!! That doesn't sound good at all! Stay safe & stay warm. WDW would be looking pretty good to me too if I were you :)

about two or three inches of white stuff and then sleet on top of all of this......what a mess...I hate winters......the trees are heavy with the ice and so are the wires.......we bought a generator after the ice storm of 98 and no electricity for five days......which meant no heat and no nothing........the generator has not been used....but it is sitting there looking very pretty......hahaha

Same here. Power already took a nose dive around 9am, but came right back up. We heat our house with a pellet stove. It still needs electricity to run the feeding auger & it's fan. So we have a battery back-up for it, ready to go.

I'm sitting here hearing ice chunks sliding off the roof & crashing 2 stories below onto the deck.

It's supposed to warm up & all turn to rain today. Hope so!!!

Good luck to you guys. I've been watching the WC so have already been thinking of all our DISers getting that storm.

You reminded me of when I was a kid and my next door neighbor's yard would freeze with ice. We would go ice skating on it and have a blast. :) Stay warm!

Oh man, I don't envy you guys at all! I remember living up in Maine and getting sleet and freezing rain, and being jealous of all our family living in Pennsylvania who got nothing, and temps in the 40's!!!

Keep it up there please!

But stay warm and safe!
