Booked for a 9-nighter to Florida this October

DH was made redundant in July, but fortunately for us has now got a new job and to celebrate that and my birthday, he (in a moment of pure madness/weakness) said ok, book a little holiday then for your birthday.
Fool!! I've spent days looking around for somewhere warm in Europe, but the prices were coming in at silly amounts (I'm an admin officer at a junior school so can only go in school holidays, plus DDs starting college in Sept); I wanted to use some of my Tesco Clubcard vouchers, but you're really only able to do packages with Virgin Holidays or Cosmos and neither of those had anything that appealed to us after lots of looking and umming and ahhing and comparing prices.
I then thought I'd have a look to see how much flights would cost extra if I transferred these Clubcards to my Airmiles account, as I've used Airmiles in the past for car hire and hotels.
Imagine my complete delight when flights popped up (indirect) for £260 to Miami - exactly where we wanted to go so we could have some complete chill out time down on Marco Island, our favourite area of Florida.
It's been a stressful time since I transferred them on Sunday because you never know how long they're going to take to be put on to your account, I kept thinking the flights wil have gone. Checked again last night and there they were - flights still available, so just had to press those buttons really
So, some real rushed planning now
- but I'm rising womanfully to the challenge
We were a little 'all parked out' after our 3 week trip last August, but really do love our time down the beach in Florida, so this just looks perfect. I've even found a little condo for us, on the beach for a bargain price. DH is very impressed
Oh happy days
