Oh, Lordy.... Here we go again..... ***UPDATE post 26***

if i could, i'd adopt her from you right now.
I had cats growing up, and then in my first apartment, we practically had a zoo. And then we wound up with just my doggie in the end... Small critters don't last long, neither do fish. And i had to put her down in december after only 6yrs with her (she was about 9).
I wasn't ready to get a new pet then, but i'm really missing the companionship.

I hope the owners come forward. And do broaden your search and look at online pet finders sites. Some cats have been found hundreds of miles away from home.

Once you start naming an animal, it's all over. She's yours.

Yep you're doomed.

I had an aunt famous for bringing home stray cats. One day she walked into her house cradling a beaultiful all white cat. The first thing her husband said when he saw her was "Oh No!!! Not again!!"

Ohno was a happy member of their family for many years to come.

You'd be shocked how many come into the shelter system and are never adopted.

Yup - we're on our 3rd bengal and unfortunately, people don't research the breed before buying so they often end up in shelters. They need A LOT of attention, activity & stimulation, so if they're an "only cat" left alone all day, problems will arise.

Give me a shout if you have any questions...your girl is lovely. And yeah, we nicknamed our late Millie "Maybelline" because of her eyeliner. :lmao:

UPDATE:

It turns out that she is a he and he has a microchip!

His name is Hercules and he had been missing from his home about 5-6 miles from us since January. He had escaped through a broken second floor window (yikes). Hercules' mama was beside herself with joy to get him back.

So Hercules is back home now. I'm happy and a bit sad. Happy that we helped a kitty find his way home. And a little sad that we won't have a new family member. He is so sweet.

YAY! I love a happy ending! But so sorry your ending is bittersweet for you. Maybe they'll let Herc visit.

If I were not allergic to kitties, I would get a rescue Bengal.
