How about a short meet earlier in the cruise so we can at least find each other?

You will find Dagny and I at the sailaway party in the middle of the dance floor when they do the Cha Cha Slide. And she DOES have a camera permanently attached to her body. My DH will not be dancing and my 9-year-old DD will be attempting to do the dance. Can't miss us with that description, LOL!

I am racking my brain trying to remember how long the sail-away party lasts, but I don't remember. That could be because when we last cruised, my family was up top at the front of the ship, watching as we left Port Canaveral, and that is probably where we will be again (possibly with MIL in wheelchair and SIL). Don't tell, but I was also looking to see if any dolphins were around as we sailed, and I will be doing that again (DH would laugh at me if he knew ).

If I knew where to find you all at the sail-away, I'd like to try to get to meet you. I just won't be there until the ship sails!

Hey, is anyone going to the Castaway Club reception? If so, when is this? This is our 2nd cruise, so we haven't done this before, but I hear there are free fruity drinks, so I want to be sure to attend! Any info?

We will be going, there are free fruity drinks, wine and virgin cocktails for the kiddies (and Alex ) There is also some neat horsdeavores. Sushi and coconut shrimp if I recall correctly.

Don't know about the sailaway for a meet as I usually am trying to get DS into things at that point. (he tends to be nervous and slow to warm up)

We will be at the cc club reception too! Our first time for this one! Like Ann, I spend sailaway trying to get ds acclimated to everything. Maybe right after the safety drill...course then we are trying to get ready for dinner (main seating).
Maybe at the cc club reception would be the best???

Sure, that's fine with me if that's where you guys want to meet. They're usually pretty crowded but I'm sure we can manage to find each other. I'm not sure which night it is on the Western cruise, though, does anyone know?

On the eastern last year I think it was the first day at sea which would make it Monday-by at sea I mean an 'at sea" day. I wonder if the Navigators on Dave's website show it.

I am up for a meet before then but as I said mike tends to be anxious so it is easier for me when he is in the lab or at least aclimated to the ship.

According to the recent navigators on Dave's site, the cc reception is Monday night (first "sea day").
How about if we plan a meet for the day of boardin (Saturday) at 3 pm? We can all meet at Goofy's pool right in front of Pinnochio's pizza (there is a raised sitting area there I think?).

This way, it gives us moms time to get our kids acclimated, we got the ressie rush done, and we will be right there for sailaway!

How about it gang? As far as what to wear or whatever, guess we will just look for a group of blondes and a guy wearing a trenchcoat! LOL Seriously, though I think if we are milling in that area at that time, we should be able to group up...don't you?

At three o clock Mike would be fairly settled, we can try to work with that, it won't give us too long before the drill but we could all at least say hi.. i could tell him he could go in the pool for a bit or play ping pong, are you talking at the spot next to the bar? (funny how I know where all the bars are-really I am not a lush on dry land )

Well, I haven't been on the Magic, (but they are identical aren't they?)but on the Wonder I was thinking there was a bar area and then Pinocchio's and right in front there was a raised area with seating then Goofy's pool was right in front of that. Does that make sense?

It would at least give us all a chance to say "hi"!

We (or at least I!) can stop by and say hi then. We're usually unpacking and getting settled then so it may closer to 3:15, but at least that will give us a chance to put names with faces.

And you're right, Lisa, there is a raised seating area right in front of Pinocchio's, on both sides, and that would work fine as a meeting point.

Although we COULD switch it to the bar area at the adult pool instead! Plenty of seating there too!

3:15 will probably work for me, I am 5'3 short blond hair, still pretty plump but 40 pounds less than I used to be.

3:15 sounds good to me too! I am not blond , but brunette (short hair) and about 5'7" with a 12 1/2 yo son that is almost the same height!

And Alex, I happen to know all the bar locations as well ....guess Michelle, Ann and I can start a "bar locators anonymous" group heh? LOL

Okay, 3:15 it is, at the bar at the adult pool, if that works for everyone. It won't be nearly as crowded there either.

That would work better for me so Mike and DH won't feel like I have totally abandoned them. Mike could go in the goofy pool or play ping pong.

Although the adult pool area would be quieter, but then how do the kids meet?

yah for me the goofy pool bar would be much easier Jay and Mike would not appreciate me taking off on them two hours after we got on board.. funny though they will be ditching me for monday night football. my guys LIVE for the Miami Dolphins.. I will just go to the adult jacuzzi -or the bar by the pool (thought you'd like that one Alex )
