I've seen that done with other infant items on top: rattles, pacifiers etc and it was called, Baby Cakes!

The hostess that threw me a baby shpwer six years ago made a diaper cake as the centerpiece. It was so cute. Plus, all the diapers to use later!

Ahhh, sweetheart...... I've never even been in the loop!! In fact, I'm stuck on a back road and even if someone pointed me in the direction of the freeway, I'd still bypass it!
But I did just recently read about those diaper cakes in a magazine....

Mom made one of these for SIL's shower. It was beautiful! It had pink & blue saran wrap around the layers and, was all decorated with baby-type little things you get at the craft store.

A helpful DISer sent me the instructions on how to make it. I, OF COURSE, passed those Right On to my Mom!

I actually made one myself!!! In fact, thanks for the reminder, a friend was asking me for ideas for baby showers. However, if I do say so myself, mine was a lot more decorative than the one on E-bay!
