Oh Gross!!!!!

Ok, this is so disgusting!!!

--The other night a few friends and I were sitting around the house and we were saying how we wished it was winter so we could light the fireplace so we came up with a great(stupid) idea.

--We put the A/C on about 50 and all got some blankets and decided to snuggle around the fireplace.

---We have a ventless fireplace which burns gel alcohol fuel so there is no mess and no chimney which means if anything other than the fuel gets in it the whole apt will fill up with the smell.

---We light it and out comes the worst smell I have ever encountered in my life.

The cat peed in it!!!!!

We were all running outside on the balcony in hardly any clothes trying to escape.

My question is does anyone know how to get the smell out???

Oh, that is gross. You could try putting a dish of activated charcoal in the fireplace. That should absorb the odor. You can get it at any pet store. If the smell has gotten into fabrics try frebreeze. I use the stuff often just to freshen things up and it really works.

That'll get rid of the pee smell for good.

white vinegar will take it out...it smells bad too but will eventually go away where cat spray wont. Another thing about the vinegar it usually ensures that the cat will not spray in that same place again. Sounds like it was marking territory

I love her!!! She could ruin the whole house and I would totally keep her.
